Thanks Guys!

I feel good it's getting wired. Just got home from the hot rod shop, that's doing the wiring and I feel he's more than qualified to do it. We're sitting down in a couple days and draw up everything I want and where. Those guys sure had a ball looking at all the weird stuff on it. :)

Pablo, I am the true meaning of amateur. Been playing with trucks my whole life, but never this deep. Having fun every step of the way!

Hi scapdaddy. Beautiful pig on picture, but is'nt there an alignement problem between the front door and the rocker? I have same issue.. and more .

Thanks Guys,

Tatat, there is a problem with that door not going in far enough. I need to play with the latch and hinge, still. The rockers have been replaced with 1/4" thick slider/rocker.

Stumpo, I just picked a gray from the powder coater's chart. Used it throughout the wagon for all the small parts. I could find the number for you, if wanted.

You are doing it in fine style! These Pigs have a way of pulling you into the abyss, eh? I never thought I could do what I did to mine. And now that is translating to the 40 project as well. Good skills...

A little update on the wiring, he got the headlights, parking lights, horns, blinkers and some of the dash lights all working. As mentioned in the wiper thread, it took us four motors to find one to park and run quite. It was my last one and rebuilt it last night, every one of them had dried out grease and crud in the gear box.

The electrician has been letting me bug him everyday, so I'm learning a few tips and being somewhat helpful getting it done. All in all, having a good time. I'm thinking we'll try and start it at his shop.

Ron,
That thing is beautiful out in the sunlight. Seeing her come to life must be a total thrill. Can't wait to hear run. I bet your like a kid 2 weeks before Christmas......just can't wait.

Thanks Man,

Happy as can be and nervous at the same time. My mind gets to thinking about too much at one time. Things I need to do and things I should have done, The dash is just about all done, then he starts on the overhead panels, he's going to be cussing me about that. :)

i'm gunna cry...

Ron,

Just an FYI.

When I ran my ducting I had a difficult time running it around all the wiring and a few sections had to run under some wires or around and after I ran my heater for about 30 min the ducting started to sag from the heat. Assuming you’re running the same ducting from RestoMod make sure to pull all the slack from the pipes that have to run under something or they will sag with the heat. (this stuff gets like a wet noodle when it’s hot)

Thanks! Yeah, mine's a mess right now, wires everywhere. That's good to know, because I did leave some slack in them.

I'm enjoying this process of wiring, but will be glad when it's done. I know my wiring guy will be glad to see me leave.:) I'm the apprentice from hell! " You want what where " is all he says and just laughs and shakes his head. At least all the old hot rod cartel are enjoying the show.

Small update... The damn thing runs! Fired it up, just to see if it would. I'm pretty sure I had a Pablo moment when it lit up. Open headers in his shop... felt like the old days. Delancy sent me a rear heater motor ( Thanks Man! ), so I'll get that in Monday and then the Tuffy box gets all wired in.

Mike, the hot rod guy is going to make the exhaust, using the stainless kit I bought. The cars he builds are in magazines, so I'm thinking it should be a little bit better than my attempt. :hillbilly:

Now to find some young guy to take a running video.

that grille looks GREAT!- right at home with the rest of it...
