I did a 250 mile trip today mostly on gravel roads. No traffic solo trip. This thing really really shines on trips like this. Washboard and tight gravel. Tons of fun. The ScheelMann seat makes 8 hours in the saddle no issue.

This is a rabbit hole I went down that cost WAY too much money to buy with all new OEM parts
I love how these things look back here on the FZJ70.
I got the Can holder and Licence plate holder from @Racer65 but the new hinges and black bracket came from Partsouq
While I had the panel off I lined the door with sound mat. It’s in all the panels except the passenger side Amby door.

Yes. I tried it with just rubber bumps but it was too shaky. I drilled those two holes and it's solid.Did you end up bolting the black carrier frame through the sheet metal on the door for this at the top and bottom on the right side of the frame?
I am sourcing the last few bits to add this to mine, and had assumed that was the case, but figured I’d ask since you’ve walked the path already.
Cheers!
If my guy flakes you are firstI want one![]()
Nolan, those look really nice…let the fun begin.
More of a Land Cruiser angel than devil. More Meshal magic.I was the devil who shipped them to nolen, they were two of the cleanest J70 i sold. the drivability was fantastic except they needed new shocks.
Thank you RichardMore of a Land Cruiser angel than devil. More Meshal magic.
Unbelievable to find two with that few kilometers. In my experience, those are typically driven by young men/teenagers and they drive the wheels off of them.I was the devil who shipped them to nolen, they were two of the cleanest J70 i sold. the drivability was fantastic except they needed new shocks.
112,000 k and 100,000 k
The undersides on both look new
Meshal sources most of his trucks from the mountains. I'll post underside videos. They are crazy clean. Not respray clean. Stock Toyota clean.Unbelievable to find two with that few kilometers. In my experience, those are typically driven by young men/teenagers and they drive the wheels off of them.
Ramadan Mubarak!
The 70s got less trendy after the 71 with its coil pack. But yes i find clean ones that i would buy for myself. And i want my American brothers to enjoy their trucks not fixing them all time.Unbelievable to find two with that few kilometers.
