Love the look of this truck. It's interesting as most people bring their trucks from TX to VA, not vice versa. This is what I keep telling my father his 60 could look like if he spent $$ on new springs and tires. How's the interior? Any additions?

Thanks, man! I really like the way it's sitting right now. The interior is in decent shape. The front seats were recovered about 12 years ago and those are tearing. I'd like to get stock covers back on them eventually. I also put a tuffy console in since the original was falling apart. I got a gray one thinking I would convert my interior to gray - but that's not likely to happen anymore. Here's some shots I have on hand of the inside.

Looks pretty clean!

Installed a rebuilt carb from Mark's Off-road. She's starting much easier now. My intermittent short dieseling has turned into 15-30 second dieseling after shut off. I think I need to get ahold of a new fuel-cut solenoid as well as get the connector on the harness side. My current fuel-cut solenoid is spliced directly into the wiring harness.

So does that mean yours does not have either green plug ends? You can rebuild the spade ends but w/o the connector it might be awkward. Maybe seek one on the parts page?

Nick, I have quite a few connectors since I converted away from the 2F. Not sure which one you need but let me know and I'll look through the pile in my barn.

Got h

got home yesterday. Back to work this week :). Was an awesome 2 weeks in CO & WY

Glad to hear it. I'll be in Ft. Worth for work through the weekend. Have any afternoons/evenings next week? I can come by the barn, check out Frankenstein, and see if we can find a connector piece that works.

Nick, I believe I'm home next week. Call or text and we can connect on a time. I'm certain we can find the right connector

This is one end Jim @CenTXFJ60 from carb solenoid to the connector. Other end looks the same. Nick it would be easy enough to splice new wire to it.
This one is a CCOT which many say are not as dependable as the old stock ones or I'd offer it to you. (It's missing the tiny o-ring too).

@FishTown

Fish, did you check the function of the ICS by directly hooking up to 12V (directly to batt) and ground and listen for the 'click' ?

Went to @CenTXFJ60 's barn to work out a couple of kinks today in preparation to head to my hometown, Rockport. My dad stayed there and rode out the hurricane. He made it through and our house isn't as still standing. His business is destroyed though. Here's a video on Fox with him. He's at the 16 second mark.

Thanks again, Jim, for helping me out. Not sure I could still own a 60 if it weren't for guys like you and @CaptClose and this forum.

Here's some quick photos from this afternoon before heading out.

Wow good luck to your dad and his business. Truck looks great, and hopefully you figured out the ICS problem. Found that City Racer actually sells the one wire and two wire ICS. When I rebuilt my head in 2015 I went with a CCOT ICS as mine was dead (see my build thread). Well I have had a high idle (not sure if that is due to the ICS) and backfire issue on decel at about 2k rpm (which I believe one of the threads says is when the ICS kicks over to the carb vacuum). Anyways, I have a spare carb that @HemiAlex lent me and will swap that on to see if I have the same issue. If not, then I will be getting one of City Racers.

That's really interesting - I have a high idle (can't really get it to idle under 1000 RPM) and backfire when decelerating as well.

If you pull your foot on the gas pedal and/or pump the gas quickly (like at a stop light) does the idle drop? This is mine does and same thing, wants to idle at 1k rpm with screw turned 3 turns out (if I remember correctly) and the timing set at about 12*.

@mwebfj60 has a detailed description of how to test your fuel decel if your getting backfire at deceleration.... Granted it could be timing but I feel like I don't see folks reminding others to check that little gadget itself.
