nothing factory that i know of, but Seat Belt Planet has several options, i got a 3 point set for the Troopy, they work for me.
I use them often. You remember which model you used? They obviously don’t list a 70 series as an option.

This one is fresh off the container. The second Saudi cruiser I’ve imported.

1996…first of the 1FZ trucks.

Real.

Nice score Nolen. Looks just like mine except for the stripes. Interior is identical including the "no sub tank" instrument cluster.

1992 was the first year for the 1FZ trucks - just FYI.

Does anyone sell retractable seat belts for these? I’m sure it’s simple but I don’t know where to look.

Mine came with retractable seat belts. They were a bit ragged on the driver's side and my contact in Yemen had a new driver's and passenger's. He didn't have the middle lap belt but mine is in good shape. No idea if he has any more.

If you want my old set to get refurbished just let me know.

Edit: It had to have had retractable belts originally so I assume yours are just in bad shape?

I see no place for a retractor. Both sides have manual belts.

It’s in the pillar. Here’s the passenger side.

Pretty sure those stripes are from a newer model year. Very common in Saudi. I was wrong. Original to ‘92.

Again, super nice 75.

Nope. Those are not in this truck. Just metal there

Yes, I can see the metal plate in your first post. Obviously I was wrong, it didn’t come with retractable belts but if you can find them they will bolt right in. Again, I have a set that will work but I don’t have extra plastic covers.

you should have the flat covers where the factory retractor assembly and bigger covers go.
👍

I finished up the 1/2 day successfully removing the bottom two overload springs out of the Dobinsons pack and stuffing back into the 75. I use a jack cart to help lift the fixed end into the frame. Once that is in, they are easy enough to install.

One other positive of Dobinsons. The shoulders on the rubber bushings are always sized right and they slide right into the fixed end where other brands often require you to grind a bit off to slip in. That’s a big deal when installing a 60# spring (new rear weight with overloads removed

Good job Nolen! Very clean score.

Next time the 75 is in, fit Old Man Emu's FK58 spacer kit to sort the brake proportioning valve out now that it's lifted (you'll only run the front discs now and wear them out) and as an added safety measure, Emu's FK82 kit is a drop down bracket for the rear brake hose which seems to be getting near stretched at full droop.

As for the correct bushings. Indeed, a J7 Cruiser needs 3 different sized bushes (as far as the shoulder is concerned) at the fixed pin end, the spring side at the shackle and the fixed (chassis) side of the shackle. I have only seen Emu specifically numbering each end's bush aside from Dobinson.

I pulled it into low range and flexed it out and made sure my remotes were safe.

The rear runs a bit on the inner frame. I think 1.5” spacers would fix that. Also driver rear is hitting the exhaust when flexed fully rearward.

Fixed some small things here and there. Bled brakes. Added new Sun visors I got from City Racer, added a cup holder and about that time the owner pulled up and left his Saudi 80 and took the 75.

He is planning on taking it on a trip Nov 4th and we have a few more goodies to add to this one. Stay tuned.

I haven’t had a chance to add my new 1.5” spacers in the rear, but I think that will solve my issue of rubbing the inner fender well and still clear the outer fender at full tuck.

Part of the surprising part for me is how more freely the Dobinsons seem to articulate, much more like a coil than OME leafs on my other trucks.

These springs are really a great set up on a 70!

Also, it was great to see you at SCC, thanks for taking the time to say hello and chat about Cruisers!

Nice truck! Is this one a keeper?!?!?

Must be a Middle East thing as every other market got retractable seat belts in these , just order some from a new 79 series , probably still the same design

I never saw any without retractable seat belts when I was looking but, I must admit, I didn't look at that many as I found my FZJ75 very quickly by chance. You did prompt me though to look at the parts diagrams for my '94 model and there are three options listed: retractable shoulder, non-retractable shoulder, and lap belt only. Never knew. I honestly assumed by 1994 that retractable shoulder belts would have been required, even in Saudi.

Does it have heat and AC? I saw a lot of them with AC and no heat. The temperature control slide went from blue to blue. 😂
Both yes. According to my guy all Saudi spec have AC and heat. Anything without is other GCC spec

That’s not correct. I saw many in Saudi without heat and quite a few without heat or AC. They were all Saudi spec. I was only looking at importable FZJ75s with a 1FZ engine which was 1992 to 1996 at the time.

Here’s a good example. 1996 without heat and AC.
