You sure can!
I have been doing some work on Caitlin over the last few weeks. The rear leafs were sagging and it rode on the bump stops all the time. It was back-breaking. I added some air bags to prop it up a bit and smooth out the ride out back. Also the truck would not turn. The pump could not fill the ram when I cycled the steering and it would whine and lock up if you tried to steer too fast. I grabbed a reservoir from a parts truck, chopped it up and welded in a 4” section of exhaust tube, effectively doubling the capacity of the reservoir. Also added a ps cooler. Steering issues seem to be resolved. Also, tweaked the coilover adjustments to firm it up a little.

Did some work to Sandy today.

First and foremost was installing the @TRFarmers dash bezel that I won in the CRR raffle. Man is this thing nice! Fitment is 100% spot on and I’m super happy with it.

I also went to replace my decrepit clutch soft line and realized by hardline flare but had been tightened with the force of 1000 suns and it deformed the nut and the new line wasn’t going to fit. Instead of cutting and putting a new flare nut on or some other fix, I ordered a 1 piece steel braided line and put that in along with a new slave cylinder and bled the system.

I had planned to replace my brake master with a 4Runner but I messed up and ordered the incorrect style with the plug on the side of the reservoir. Returned it and ordered an Advics BMT-051 that will be here Thursday.

I also did my first welding project to repair my steering drag link that I bent on my steering stabilizer mount at Relic Run. The fix to get my to GSMTR next week was to bend it back straight-ish and weld a piece of angle iron to it to reinforce it. I have a DOM DIY drag link kit from FROR sitting here but my 80 series end links won’t get here before GSMTR so this is the temporary fix.

I bought a Hobart 210 about a year and a half ago that’s been sitting. @GLTHFJ60 came over and helped me wire in a new 40A outlet and I just started gluing. I have zero time on a mig and haven’t done any research so I just started going and learned as I went. I’m pretty happy with it for my first go around. Lots to learn but I’m looking forward to getting better.

I also took off the stabilizer and mount.

I’ve been thinking about that FROR lot. It’s pretty much full DIY yeah? Cut to length, tap your own threads?

It comes with threaded inserts so more like cut to length and weld in threaded inserts.

Complemented the new dash bezel by finally installing my grab handle that I bought a while ago. Really like it and it has the perfect patina on it to match the rest of the truck.

I also had @GLTHFJ60 help get my synthetic line installed with the assistance of Moonshine.

Made some bump stop spacers yesterday using some 1”x2” steel bar. This will help keep my track bar out of my steering damper mount.

What kind of light pods have you mounted on the knuckle light mounts? Have you tried both amber and white? Which is more helpful in that lower position? Thanks for sharing your experience.

I had some cheap white/amber pods a couple years ago off Amazon just to see how I liked the knuckle mounts before buying nice pods and just didn’t love the position of the light. It’s neat that it turns with the wheels and such but for my needs it wasn’t useful enough to justify buying nice pods. I just never took off the mounts.

Awesome, thanks. Do the tires get in the way of the light beam? I have some light mounts but haven't put them on yet. It seems like the tires might interfere a bit with how wide across the beam shines.

Yes the tires dictate the width of the light out front so light doesn’t really extend wider than the distance between the front tires.

This is the output

Put a new master in to help improve brake feel. I have 4Runner calipers and the stock MC. I upgraded to the Advics BMT-051 which is a 1" bore.

I bled it out on the bench then did a full flush of the brake system. I did have to make a new hardline as the hookups don’t line up in exactly the same spot as the factory MC.

Brakes feel fantastic now. Immediate pedal feel and no squishy feeling. Very happy with it.

Other GSMTR prep today included an oil change with some M1 15w-50 and a YZZD3 filter, new rear end fluid, new spark plugs, new braided clutch line to replace my factory hard and soft line combo, new clutch slave, and bled out the clutch system.
