Yeah i need to build another table.. or clean one off... anywho

got that heavy sumb!tch in with the generous of help of... well alot of straps and a hoist

nearly a flat belly pan with a Dana 300!.. hangs down just 2 inches. definitely need to stretch the front because the whole setup is shorter than my stock one. makes my front drive shaft pretty short...

Ordered my triple cable shifter from northwest fab. It takes them awhile to get the cables needed for it, so I had them send me everything else so i can have it mocked up. When cables show up in 5 weeks ( worst case scenario) I will just bolt them in place.

I will use the shifter cable I got from nolen to mock up cable.

Rest of my heims, truss and torque converter should be coming in this week, so hopefully I can get it together by this weekend. At least get it mobile.. So I can move it out of the shop..

Help would be appreciated

I'll come help Lenny. What time?

I'll come help Lenny. What time?

Thanks bodean

I am still waiting on some parts for the transmission.

Turns out there is part needed that fits on crank that the torque converter slips into. That should be in Friday .

I will be at it all weekend. Saturday would be great what time is good for you?

I'll get out there mid morning on Sat

Come on with some pics Lenny! I know there was even more progress today!

yes definitely some more progress made!

Thanks to my fellow cottonlanders for the help over the weekend. much appreciated.

goal for the weekend was to get the sammy mobile... .

Well i was hoping the torque converter and some needed hardware to install it this weekend would have come in friday, but even though the packages were in jackson UPS they would not unload the truck till sunday night .
oh well
well mobile then became a goal of... pushable

so we started on the links to go from plastic to not plastic.

2 x .250 wall DOM tubing to be exact. this stuff is heavy! the links are near parallel to the ground. 9 inches of vertical separation . flex it out no binding :bounce: pic 1

other pics are of the rear airshock mounts. I am trying to avoid a shock hoop and we came up with this. the bar that the mounts are attached to is what i refer to as the bed bar ( bar that goes over the bed of the rig) . It is attached to the B hoop and will have multiple attachments to the frame.

after we got the shocks mounted and the bed bar tied to the frame we started on the rear cage halo. Having this completed will help me tie it all to the rear of the frame.

I want the sammy to remain a 4 seater and have some cargo space in the back so this is what we came up with.

I really like the way it came out so far.

And i can gladly say that it is now mobi.. well pushable.

So now it can be moved for the guys to install a lift :D

weekend mission accomplished!
