Good stuff there Leonard.
Congrats on getting so much done. Glad I could send my O73 representative to help out.

Playa Playa Play ooonn!

Got the auto transmission/ doubler /Dana 300 installed. That wore my a$$ out. That combo is much heavier than wha I had before..
Now. Just need to make a crossmember (s) for the drivetrain. A lot of rigs just use one crossmember to support the while shabang. I think I will have 2 cross members .

Luckily I have Several mounting options. From the engine there are pre existing mounting areas at the tail if the transmission, the doubler ( literally right next to Tranny mount), and on the adapter plate between the doubler and the Dana 300.
The first crossmember will be at the adapter plate. Then the next one will be either the transmission or at the doubler. I will probably use the one available at the tail of the transmission.

I want to make the cross members as high as possible so they won't interfere with the skid plate.

I ran into an issue with the triple drilled toyota flanges for the Dana 300.they are much beefier than the 1310 yokes. They are soo beefy that they won't fit.. Turns out I need a New seal that has a larger interior diameter.
Since I am running a JB CONVERSION 4:1 kit finding a front seal that will work may be difficult. The Guy from inchworm is going to find out more about it on Monday (JB conversions is at the Easter jeep safari- maybe I can get nolen to ask em ; )

Having trouble deciding what I want to do with the rear of cage. I want to have it high up for clearance so I am thinking of tubing out the rear from the airshocks back. it needs to house the gas tank and to have a bed on top of tank. Tank will be housed and protected so putting things on top like straps or a cooler will be no big deal..
Any suugestions ?
Pics are welcome

If you have the upgraded rear output on the D300, that's where I'd put a crossmember and mount a support for the tailshaft, much like is done with an atlas. Check our JMR on Pirate. I believe that's who makes the support for the 32 spline D300. It's a good product and will help take the strain off your crawl and transmission.

I would support at the crawl box or very rear of transmission, at the rear of D300, and obviously your motor mounts. Just make sure they are all the same - all rubber or all poly. Don't mix and match, as that allows twist in one area and not the next.

That's probably all old news to you, but wanted to put it out there. Having been in the same situation, hopefully you can find some use to my screwups.

Sound advice on engine/Georg/tcase mount.

Lenny, you need me to test those stickies at GSMTR? I could always use a few more broken axle shafts...
