Been working on crossmember for drivetrain and some reinforcements to the lower link frame mount.

Had to have the triple drilled flange for the front machined to fit the 32 spline front out put.

I need the get Lathed.. That way I can do this myself..

The HD front output did not have enough room for a bigger seal.

I ordered the bigger seal for the rear output so hopefully that will work out.

I could use a hand getting some stuff done.. Let me know when you can..

This weekend?

This weekend?

That would be good

This weekend coming up is good for me. Not sure what help I can be, but Julie has to be at a bunch of Gardens of Madison County stuff and I will have the kids. I can let them romp with yours and lend a hand.

Bunch of knick knack stuff still needs to be done.
hopefully be ready for brakes this weekend.
Running brake lines,
oiling and filling airshocks.
Filling fluids,
connecting gas lines.
Cut front fenders
Limit straps installed

Once I make the driveshafts they need to be installed

My plan this week is to have the crossmember done so I can remove hoist to work on tranny tunnel & shifter placement.
Rear truss done so rear can be finished
Rear tube finished to have gas tank installed

IF I can have that ready then it should be ready for a test drive by next week :bounce:

My Internet connection is down so I can't upload pics. Is tapatalk/ forum runner or something else working with mud? I liked when tapatalk was working it was so easy to upload pics..

Changed the tranny filter
Installed dipstick
Shortened upper links
Installed rear axle upper link truss
Measured for driveshafts
Flexed it out a little ..definitely need the spacers
The auto transmission is not physically shifting gears . I removed the park/ brake release switch( thing that let's you shift only after the brake is pressed)
Any suggestions of what the problem can be?

Pics are of the:
1. tranny crossmember.
2. Suspension test with 2 inch spacers
3.suspension test without spacers
4.rear upper link axle truss

looking good lenny!

are you going to put more gussets on the rear upper link mount on the axle? those housings are awful thin, have seen mounts tear out on built mini trucks. a couple of braces going from the truss to the pumpkin can't hurt.;)

Thanks guys!

Yes I will add some more gussets. The ruff stuff medium axle truss has a truss like the one on pats buggy ( pic 1) but it also has another truss that fits over it. all are at least 1/4 inch

For reference:

Rear Drive shaft angle at full droop is right at 24 degrees.

Front drive shaft at full droop 35 degrees

Driveshaft measurements

Front YJ Spings missing link front shackles
Full droop 28 3/4"
Ride height 28 "

4 linked rear
Full droop 43 1/4 "
Ride height 41 1/2"

Pinion flange
2 3/8 x 2 7/16
Diagonal 3 5/8
