Just finished my cb install. What channel does the club use?

Ive been battling a terrible cold all week and was planning on going tomorrow. I'll prepare to go and set my alarm to get up, but if I still feel like hell in the morning, Im not gonna make it.

Sometimes 14, sometimes 4, sometimes something else, generally determined at the meet site.

I climbed the step in the dark, in a stock 4runner years ago.:meh: A stock 80 or 100 is far more capable. It might take a bit of work, but it's doable.

Yep, but all trails change with time. When we were there last month, it was very dirty, covered with gravel, rock, so reduced traction. I'm sure that a stock rig could do it, but likely to struggle, slide/bounce around, increasing the chance of damage.

I beat on the hundy more than my 80 and it has kicked every obstacles butt that has gotten in its way. Sure, there have been some fing scary I almost wet myself moments but who hasn't had those in a stock vehicle.

The:princess: likes how capable her 100 series is. She even said the AZ pin stripes give it character :hhmm: I said so does a winch bumper with a winch and she said sure :hillbilly:

Shannon,
You have my sympathies. Two of my children stayed home with the nasty little bug that’s going around. Hope you make it tomorrow, but either way take care of yourself.
Cook.

By the time your truck will be ready to go out, all those critters will be extinct...:)

The 80 wont be wheeling for a while. I admit that I bought a s*** bag time vampire of an 80:wrench: The hundy has 34 inch tires that are allterain. I guess I could take it out on a run but I have no way of airing down. :meh:

I hunt in a Rhino due to game retrieval laws. I am covered as far as getting out and bagging some tasty critters :hillbilly:

Sure you do. All you really need is a twig and a air pressure gauge. As for airing UP, that's a different story.

The birfs sound real bad. Also, the rear driveshaft is off right now and the studs need to be gone over with a die. Also, I need to change out my starter.

The 80 has been off-road twice. Once up in snow in Payson and it has been down FR24.

That would be fine for most of the runs we do.

I guess I could take it out on a run but I have no way of airing down. :meh: ...

Also not a problem, there are always plenty of compressors, I always carry at least one spare. Lots of us have Puma's, air up pretty quick, often loan the hose to others.

I leed most of the trip in a 100 with 285 AT's and a non working locker, no problem.

Also as a 100 series bonus I leed a SC'd 80 up all the hills on the trip back. ;p

A table Mesa run would be fun...

Hmm how much more difficult? Like locker and lift difficult ?

Well said ChaseTruck, I would add that the new format is in addition to the old beloved model of making sure you checked CSC right before you go to bed because there may be a run.

Planned and un-planned together in the same club. Getting more people involved in our hobby, friends and memories to last a lifetime are what we all want.

Regarding the Range Rover, they too had a blast and if we had turned them away they might have ended up stuck or broken down somewhere else. The kid and his grandpa will have a great adventure to share for the rest of their lives.

Hope to see you the next time you are in town and on a run, scheduled in advance or last minute because they both have worked for me.:)

Best of both worlds, just another good growing pain in the life of our club. Wheel when ya can, look at the pix and read the trail reports when ya can't. Good chance there will be another opportunity in the future. John

... Ok, I admit, on TWO of these occasions we just wanted to see whether we could run Shannon out of gas, given that we started the day at a gas station, and he elected to ignore that little tidbit...

Fixed it for you!:hillbilly:

There are a few easy trails in TM, but also a lot that are "buggy land". I'm not a big fan of TM, dirty, overcrowded, etc, usually drive through it to get to the better stuff behind it.
