Nice work!

Thanks, looks better from the inside...where it counts! :hillbilly:

Just curious...why did you put body filler on the inside of the pan? I knocked some of it out when adjusting the metal with the hammer...

I had already welded in pan but wanted to hide the seam. Afterwards I decided to pull the trigger on a 3/4 tub as my confidence for putting the 1/2 tub together (and time involved to do so) was gone.

I admire your skills. Are you doing this yourself?

Me, myself and I are all doing this project! Wish the wife would get into it too but she is only the quality control person!

It was hard welding the pan in with the body filler...it kept on catching on fire.....had to open the garage door a few times to clear my lungs out.

I saw there is going to be a group order from Pilgrim...the 45 pickup cab on the 40 would look really nice...like a mini pickup! Maybe a future project...:hhmm:

Got the apron patched with the help of my friends...Hobart and Hypertherm.

Got the CLC stickers in....they look great if I say so myself.

Nice! Thanks for taking the time to get that rolling Rui, and for all your hard work on the design. I approve. Can I buy one at the next meeting?

Thanks, Luke.

Mocked up the back side of the tub today, trying to get a picture of what needs to be nipped and tucked...

Anybody know how to take the window gaskets from the cab windows and the windshield frame so I can re-install them after I get them painted? Thanks for the help.

The only way I have seen glass come out is in pieces so any advice from me may not give you the results you are hoping for.

Well, the windshield glass can come out in pieces...because I have new glass for it...but the cab windows "not an option". SOR sells used gaskets for the cab windows...so I'm sure they are not smashing the windows to get the gaskets...I have not found any threads on MUD about getting the cab windows out...am I missing something?

look at you go boy!!!:steer:

Thanks Man...I'm a bit further now, the tub is upside down on horses, getting ready to spray the "chassis saver" rust preventive paint and the U-POL Raptor bed liner on it...hope that will save it from getting rust any time soon.

I'll ask....How the heck are you moving that tub around? Are you getting your wife to help? My wife can barely pump brakes for bleeding, much less help me flip a cruiser tub over!

Well, she was helping move it around when it was a half tub...now being a full tub, I asked a buddy to stop by and help me take it off...it's still a bit heavy for two people, especially when you have to tip it over the shift lever. Hopefully painting will be done this weekend and I can put it back on the mounts and start painting the inside...then the outside...then...you get the picture.

Of course everything takes longer than anticipated, I had a grand old time getting the wheel well supports put in so they would line up with the roll bar...got that finally done, shot it with a coat of chassis saver then shot it with tintable raptor bedliner...wait for it to cure and back on the chassi it goes, while it dries I will get the exhaust back on the frame and replace the back brake line with a longer run to accommodate the 4" lift with the 33's...it was stretching out before...replace the front transfer shaft seal...and we are in business...

Would you recommend that chassis saver for axles? I'm going to be working on the new set I got this weekend and figure I might as well paint them while everything is apart. Can you get it locally?

Yes you can get it localy, it is at Dale's Paint Supply, 515 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO (719) 636-2635 ‎

they have a regular one, which is in a yellow can and one in a red can which is the industrial (glossy)...if you get the glossy you need to be careful that it gets ZERO sunlight on it, since it is not UV protected (it will turn gray in color). When I painted my frame with it, I just got some black spray paint cans and rattle canned the top coat on...

You can also get some reducer to paint it with a gun, thats what I did on my undercoating, before I put the blue bed liner on it.
