Thanks everyone. Things are good at home with the new addition. I've even managed to get out to the garage a few mins here and there... nothing exciting enough for pics though. I installed some new wheel studs in the front axle, redid the arb again, cleaned up the dana 60 a bit, checked and repacked wheel bearings, things like that. I'm hoping to get the axle buttoned up along with some more gussets, plate, tube, and back under the cruiser in a week or so. The next thing I want to do is the exhaust.... I NEED TO FIRE THAT BIG BLOCK UP!!!

Baby steps... :)

not much but every little thing I do gets me closer to the finish line right? Boxed and gusseted my panhard and 3rd link axle mounts. One more gusset will go on the 3rd link.

Oh yeah... I know it might be hard for some of you to believe but I've decided to make yet another pretty drastic change in the build. More info on that to come in the next few days.

Is this going to push the build back by another year?:D

Nope... shouldn't really change much at all. After reading a thread in the Hardcore section "Propane tank location" I got a little scared about where I intended to store the propane tanks. Things would probably been fine but I think it would always be in the back of my mind storing those tanks in a semi-enclosed environment. Going back to fuel injection just makes more sense... maybe a little more work but I'll gain a lot more in the end. Better gas mileage, more power, easier to fuel up, longer trip capacity, safer, etc.

I'm looking into these systems so far:

Powerjection 3:
Professional Products Online

Fast: EZ-EFI
FAST: EZ-EFI® Self Tuning Fuel Injection System (Master Kit)

I like the mass-flo efi system but its too spendy for me and it probably an overkill:

Chevrolet Big Block EFI System : Mass-Flo EFI, The World's Only True Plug and Play EFI System.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Powerjection 3.

Looks a little pricy, but FI should do well in that big block.
