Now that it's on the stand I can take inventory and do a proper once over. First order from Partsouq arrived a day before the engine but looks like I forgot quite a bit so placing another one now.

Some sediment in the cooling system but, at least it had coolant in it.

I started to cut this power steering line that ran from the reservoir to the right hand drive steering box but, decided I could just bend it and be able to just have a small short hose to my steering box since it's going in a left hand drive rig.

Even had a little threaded boss on the timing cover for the tab to help support it. I had these flimsy spacers I threw on but will replace them with something more substantial next time I run to the parts store.

Cracked A pipe flange

I had put some of the hardware in this little bag when I went to pick up the engine. No trip to Canada is complete without a trip to Timmys.

Venturi was damaged in the crash as well. Haven't had much luck finding a replacement.

Front main seal installed today and gave the harmonic dampener a wire brush and coat of enamel.

Couldn't torque it back down since the flywheel is at the machine shop getting resurfaced so I made myself a reminder note.

Also got the water pump on.

I had clearance issues with the powersteer resivoir there installing into my 40 but hopefully you have better luck
Was your 40 left hand drive? I have a new smaller profile brake booster to install on mine. Also when I burned my mounts into the frame I put them 3" forward to line up the shifter in the tunnel for the h55. This rig was originally an fj40.

Dude! I know you had a 15bt on your mind but didn't realize you were going this route. I gotta get a life and spend more time on MUD!
If you need a tig weld patch job on that throttle body, shoot me a call/text. I can get it fixed up for ya. Looks like most of it is under the hose connection anyway.

Thanks Pat, I may try to fix this one if I can't find a replacement soon.

haha! no it was right hand drive! good thinking :p looks like you've got it all sorted!

Got a few parts from Partsouq today so I paused working on my latest 40 build to through some parts on this 15bf.
Always exciting to open packages up from overseas.

These injector line clamps were missing so nice to get these back in place.

The original coolant pipe had a small rust spot on bottom outlet so I tried to order a replacement but it was no longer available. I ordered this 15bfte pipe but it's not going to work as you can see. I'll probably try to blast, weld, and replate/paint the original pipe.

Got the lower housing back on.

I also got a new coolant sensor and plug for the water pipe that was on the lower housing. I'm going to mimic the coolant plumbing as it is on my 3b currently in the 40. One pipe off the water pump will be needed and I'll remove a plug off the back of the head and install a nipple in its place.

I was hoping to plug the holes for the p/s idle up sensor and the other temp sensor that went on the lower housing but, the threads aren't NPT so looks like I'll just have to reinstall those sensors and leave them unplugged.

I also ordered a new upper outlet, but it points to the wrong side I actually wanted it to. The correct one below is no longer available.
