Fire Extinguisher mount. It's not super convenient where it is at, will likely move it.

The grille is particular to 1979. It's cut out around the TOYOTA letters. Super rare. If you want to re-do the accent around the letters here is an untouched grille to copy.

Remember that fuel pump that failed on me earlier in this thread? Welp, the napa replacement didn't last a year. Failed on me at about 12k feet at the top of corkscrew trail. I don't know everyone's handles on mud that were there to help but I sure appreciated it. The guys at Classic cruiser co helped determine what the issue was- great group of guys. Thanks Jim and Mark for towing me up to a flat spot to work on and everyone in the group that day that made sure we got out safely. @John McVicker happened to have an electric and a mechanical fuel pump in the back of his cruiser. Thanks again John! We were able to make the repair and drive all the way out (after I installed the pump backward). Sometimes I do things twice. I have since replaced the electric pump with a mechanical OEM. My son Rhen, and I will always remember that trip. Good times.

A man and his machine. It was fun to get out and experience these trails in something I have spent so much time working on.

Oooh, thank you. I thought it might be something like that but just didn't have anything to reference to. I was going to paint the letters black. I like this better!

Thanks Dan! I need to come see you guys again at the new location.

Suprisingly there was not an off the shelf solution for a fridge slide for the 55. 😂 Day before SAS my bro and I put this together, mounted with a bolt in each corner where cargo tie downs might be so if I ever want to remove it I can in just a few minutes. Didn't quite get the drawer finished for the right side before SAS. Plan to finish that up and coat with something that looks nicer back there.

the slide was nice at camp and out on the trail:

Also added a Switch Pro knock off before SAS to control rigid light bar, compressor, interior lights, aux charging port and reverse lights.

I love the stance of this truck. the tire/wheel combo and ride height are perfect.

Alright, I've spent enough time today going through old photos. @RUSH55 and others kept reminding me I should post some of the progress here so I finally decided to do it.

I'll leave you with these, maybe add some more later.

Love it, finally got home and got to finish your posts. Have to ask, where abouts are you in majority of these photos north of where I reside?

So great to see all these, thanks for taking the time.

One question, do you have a picture of the winch mount without the bumper covering it?

Cheers

Ah, so you were the other 55 at SAS last year! Glad I finally found this thread. I was the Gray, linked, and probably speeding through the camp 40.
