not for durability...

parts i can loan out to the cause

i started work on the later model front turn signal bases and have samples, but lost my connection.

i also set aside a good set of the plastic trim pieces for the c and d pillars where the headliner comes down and meets up near the bottom of the window.

i have a new brass window gear if anyone else doesn't pan out

also have the piece for the visors (78 and 79 were different, not sure about super early years)

sor replacement cluster and glove box covers with good oe glove box handle

have a small chunk of the weatherstripping used on the cowl under the hood.

have plenty of the hood bumpers

I had a guy from Airbus say he could scan a rear tailgate handle for me and give me the file. I was trying to solder my handle back together so he could scan it. He also said he could get me in contact with someone that could 3D print it in metal or help me find someone who could CNC it. Is there a better option than CNC?

I had a good tailgate handle scanned and even a 3D print in plastic. I have looked around for production outlets, and then got word that @reevesci is working on reproducing these, so we might check with him on his progress!

Awesome Ige! What year is the visor piece you have?

Pictures of reference. On the mirror the metal stalk of the mirror is super resilient die to being metal. The rest of the assembly not so much. Took a picture of the mirror and clips scrap daddy was mentioning.

Gotcha. If anyone has a spare, broken or not, I'd gladly take a look.

Yep, seems like BobM has thought this through. Metal 3D printing is very much in its infancy (way up on the Hype Curve, if you're familiar with the concept). Meaning the parts are super pricey and have to be designed just... so.. in order to print well. Better off either stamping and welding or CNC machining and welding.

@nuclearlemon , I'd like to see some pics and info for the hood bumpers. Also curious about the "wiper bushings" mentioned earlier in this thread. Both sound very straightforward.

FINALLY, this is worth stating: my biggest fear with all this is taking on too many doo-dads at once and ultimately getting zero parts to production. Hence the ordered list I generated previously. I'm trying to find those perfect parts that 1) everyone needs and 2) aren't too pricey to make!

I love this forum and appreciate the support from everyone. Let's keep the momentum going. Damn exciting.

a)hood bumpers. there's 2 per side. these aren't the good ones...those are in the toolbox in the garage
b)also have a mirror head. typical crustiness factor, but the mirror portion is already broken out so it might be a candidate
c)the portion of the license plate lamps that usually rots away (again, i have a good one and the lens is already out of it) ...would need housing and lens in pic

d) forgot i had a good tailgate handle
e) more pieces that tend to break...the footwell vent lever (not sure how hard it is to get from the housing) the end usually breaks off, but you can see mine is breaking where it goes into the housing
f)rod for the footwell vent

g)i have plenty of the door handle pieces that someone had already posted pics of
h)the visor clip is 77 and earlier, but i don't know if it goes all the way to 68. mine is in a 71 or 72 (can't remember what the body is)
i) pics of the headliner trim pieces
j)pic of the initial repro late model ts base and the original it was based off of
k)fuse covers are usually toasted
l) the cover for the inspection light plug

if you care to branch out to the early 40 series crowd,
a) elephant horn covers
b)windshield vent knobs
c) this is for something on an early 40, but i'll be damned if i can remember what...but it was in my pile of stuff i wanted reproduced
d)early wiper motor wire covers
other items on my list not pictured, but i have parts that can be copied
d)bug catcher knobs
e)vacuum tcase diaphrams
f) plugs for the seatbelt bolt holes
g)seems like a few folks are looking for the eyelet bolts for the early seatbelts

Floorboards like the mighty Bobm used to sell would be really cool! Plastic door pull pieces are paramount.
Sorry to swing off the point but those SOR Visor Covers. You like 'em?
I have been working on modeling the plastic door handle pieces (almost done). I think I can reproduce these.

I didn't see it mentioned but maybe I missed it, the rear reflector bezels would be nice. When you can find them used people want $200 for a rough pair of them. I haven't been able to find a reasonable set yet.

@TNpig , can you post a pic to confirm the part you're discussing? Is this the plastic piece just behind the door handle?

DoubleNickles,

It's the one I'm sending you.

That was my thinking. @TNpig , if you're getting close then let's combine efforts. Or not, up to you. If I don't hear back I'll proceed anyways, but glad to put our heads together to get replacements in our grubby little hands.
