That water pump was 33 bucks. I can't believe parts for this truck are so cheap!!

Got the carb rebuilt this weekend. I started having a half throttle stumbling issue with a bit of backfiring, and it had happened right aftwr I replace some of the vacuum lines. I knew the carb needed a rebuild because my float bowl would drain out after a while. Starts and drives alright but the stumbling issue is still there.
I am going to replace all the vacuum lines with proper ones and go from there.
She a good runner this!

Will report on the stumbling issue that never resolved itself after the rebuild.

Cool rig, nice that you use it and take good care of it.

BTW, I think your driver's side rear is a solid axle minitruck rim. The other three are regular ole IFS rims. Different offset between the two. SA rims fit the IFS trucks just fine (my '88 is still IFS - just haven't gotten to the SAS yet). It sits on rims off my old '85 SA truck that sadly succumbed to rust.

Holy crap, had the truck for 10 years, never noticed the different rim, lol. That is funny.
Now, I went ahead and got a rebuilt carb from carburetor exchange and replaced the carb altogether. Was surprised to see that there are some carbs from toyota still, 900 discounted!! Runs perfect. I am gonna get the timing light on it to make sure the timing is right. I also did a valve adjustment, all valves were on the tight side, and found a loose spark plug.
Regardless, will time it to make sure ignition is correct and it's good to go again.

Timed it, it's spot on. Ima go get a pcv valve, grommet and hose, cause they are cracked and brittle, take two minutes to replace the fuel filter and then go for a long ride.
Will report.

Man, this thing is just a flyer, I tell you!
Damn thing has like only 100 hp but goes so well. Perhaps, it is because it was really out of tune and such, that getting it running right made such a difference.
I gotta start patching some of the rust one of these days.
Once my HJ60 is out of the garage, this will go in then.

Since my 60 is in pieces, I figured I'd borrow its mirrors for my truck. I can't see s*** in the ones I had on there. They fit so nice, I am gonna buy new ones for the 60 and leave these on here. I can also see beautifully!

I must get some new gaskets for them though.

Got a brand new fan clutch installed Sunday. Mine seemed to always be on, at least I'd hear the fan noise. I now got this new one installed and truck is quieter and possibly got a bit more pep back in its step. I think the fan was robbing some of its power. The fan clutch was also Super cheap too!

I'm always impressed with how affordable Aisin aftermarket is.

Went for an inspection 2 months ago and failed due to a number of things, namely axle rubber boots being broken, play in bearings, emergency brake inoperable, etc. I went ahead and replaced the emergency brake cable, works great. Had bearings and new rotors laying around for ages so will do those. Now, the axles, I had replaced bout 7 ya with am units. I am pissed that those rubber boots don't last for s***. Anyway, I got a boot kit only so I don't throw money on axles again. I started taking the front apart today. She was in need of work!
Got the rotor mounted to the hub and I am in the process of removing the axle. Will post pics as I go.

Axle been rebuilt and back in the truck. Them new bearings are in, hub in place, just need to button up the locking hub. And pass side done!
On to ds side.

The drivers side axle is back in the truck. Thing is one cannot take pics with all the grease, so no pics. Will take pics when it's all bolted up.
Almost there.

Today I managed to score a somewhat local cab from a fella on L.I. Will be picking it up Friday. I guess along side my 60 the minitruck will get a bit of restowork done as well. I will post some pics once I get the cab. I will also get the frame powder coated since I'll be pulling the cab off.
I see another rabbit hole right down the road...sigh..
