Funny, I just re-read what you posted, that motor weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,000lbs. I didn’t realize what it was, those are great motors though, impossible to put in an 80, but would be funny to try. They’re also really tall, I’m guessing that if you somehow managed to build a front end that would support that thing, the top of it would probably stick a good 2’ out of the hood, maybe even more.

Hence the lol.... for some reason no matter what I search for on market place FB puts that near the top for me every day. It must be the Mercedes diesel total search count over the years. If I had a bunch of cash sitting around i'd grab it jus to make some kind of crazy tow rig way down the line...... or maybe just stare at it and make engine noises

I dont understand it personally. I think the volvo portal is damn near the best upgrade an 80 can get.
I cant find any of them for sale anymore. 5.99 on 40s is barely over stock gearing... why the 55 mph top speed?
