looks alot like mine...but your shop is much more agressive at cutting everything out at one time. o_O

One question to the LVers...what is the purpose of the L-bracket that is connected to the front seat mount and points toward bottom of the b pillar? I don't have that on mine.
Good question, I actually don’t see that on mine either. Were there two different types of front seats?

I think that is a PO add on.

Nope, my other '65 LV had them too.

Thanks for the correction.
They do look more factory than PO install, i wonder what they are for? Cant find them in my parts book.

( I almost bought that green one from Marv just before you got it)

My seat is a '65. Here's a pic of my LV with the seat installed. Doesn't seem to be seat related.

Finished detailing the engine today and my wife helped me install the felt and split rivets for the gas tank, and then the tank. Still gotta clean and paint the skid plate.

A question for you guys... I've got a 2F with an earlier air cleaner and when the lid of the air cleaner is tightened down it sits about 1" above the carb. I can make something to bridge the gap but was wondering if there's a spacer out there already available to fix this.

Two more sent from the body shop late yesterday welding in the passenger rocker.

Welding? 😆

So I went by the body shop today and they were cutting the entire passenger rear quarter panel outter skin from the tailgate to the rear door from my old LV to replace the rotted one on my current LV. These guys aren't shy about cutting out the rot. There were quite a few body pieces tack welded in place to keep the shape of the body intact. Here's a few pics to give you an idea of today's work and where they're headed.

Yes I am fortunate. My old LV had a very solid body. The only rot was at the front floors and some places at the roof gutter. They were prepping to cut out the tailgate sill as I was leaving. Eddie assures me that it'll look new when I pick it up. As you can see they've got a ton of work ahead of them.

Looking good Gene. On post #575 I noticed the rear wheel wells on the interior are white and the floor is black. For the LV university students like myself, do you know if this is the factory interior paint scheme? From the little paint that was left on mine I think that is the case. Your thoughts?

Yes that is correct. All of the paint on this LV was factory paint with black floors and white wheel wells.

I didn’t know that! What about the walls?

Both of my LVs were originally the red/white paint scheme and the interior including wheel wells were completely white other than the black floor.
