Brake line kit.

Ugh.

Bought for 77 model to get some sort of continuity on the driveline.

The main complex firewall lines with the 360's are way off since I'm not doing a booster.

None of my junctions work so I'll need those now.

Rear is done and mostly fit. I had to rebend one of them and the 3rd member bend they did is odd and misshaped but it works.

Just got a huge Beno box so off to finish the front axle

This thing kicked my ass today. So much ass kicked, so little progress.

I did get a big @beno box. I should be able to get the front axle in with all the goodies I got from him. One of my hubs is mangled where the inner seal goes in. I will likely have a leak. Hope not. Im putting it together tomorrow. Hell or high water.

NEEDED........

The junction where the 360* brake lines join up at the frame. Not sure what it even looks like, may be 2 with 90's.....dunno. Help.

PS......thanks for the screwdriver Bro.....

If you have to, Autozone has individual 90s. You could tack two of them to a piece of something and bolt it down.

This rig is gonna be so cool....

Nolen,

Pretty sure I have that junction or one very similar. I'll be home Sunday.

It is shocking to me how fast a $500 @beno box disappeares.

I've got the axle done. Waiting on a couple of snap rings and cone washers and the front is complete.

Lots of money spent on this thing but it's done right. No corners cut.

The box had some odds and ends in it. I'm going to replace drain plugs and fluids tomorrow. If Lash can get me that brake junction I'm going to mount the master cylinder and start modifying the main brake lines to fit.

It's nice to have somewhat of a model to look at when placing stuff.

The battery tray from TG got the boot because @Mace is a****** enough to tell me it was fugly.

Air cleaner is mocked up. I've got a week or so till my intake manifold arrives.

I'm missing one of the big wing nots for the battery tray if you have one (anyone)

Engine looks sweet.

I've got the Specter step down studs in place.

Question, should I use locktite on these studs?

image.webp

On second thought, it's probably going to get hot enough there to render the Locktite useless, since heat is the release agent.

You're welcome ;)

I figured that on heat. Plus the way they are captured I can't see how they would loosen.

@metalshaper hows that tranny hump?

@beno got me new plastic bushings for my Tcase shifter that made a world of difference. It's perfect.

Once I get the hump back the fuel system and interior goes back in.

Long day. Little progress. I worked on it from 1:30 to 6 and got so Little done it's scary.

I got the step down studs installed.

Of course one gave me big trouble

Waiting on the intake manifold now.

The header is a bit warped because it's a 2 pice with the collector already on it. I'm really hoping if I take my time when I snug it all up it will get a good seal.

image.webp

I had to drill 4 new holes in the firewall for the non-abs 80 master and I notched the rib to get the rear line in there.

image.webp

I've got to do a few loops in these lines to make them work without the booster.

Finally, I spent some time on the wiring. One part of the harness has a burned up section. I've got to replace that part.

so many little things take up so much time....keep it up!

youll definitely beat me on the road....

Man, only if (when) I pay someone to do the s*** I can't do.

That is the vacuum inlet fitting for the vacuum shift T-case controller. If youre using the common floor shift t-case setup, then remove it.
