Well I've been emailing metric for months and finally messaged him on Facebook about my my dead led headlights. Well I've gotten zero response from him like ever one else here. I got home today to this at more. Very weird but happy hope rest of you get what your owed.

I in no way wish to diminish the experiences that others have had in dealing with MetricTLC, but the two times that I've ordered with Shane have both been extremely pleasant experiences, with questions promptly answered, orders promptly placed, and shipments promptly received. I ordered a set of front and middle leathers as part of a group buy back in early 2014, and I just took advantage of the recent 20% offer he sent out for rear leathers, and replacement door vinyl. I finalized those orders last week, and the leathers were delivered to my door today.

Every time i've contacted him through the sales@metrictlc.com email address. He's even great about getting back to me about install questions, or random ways to clean up the interior.

For those that have been burned I can understand being seriously upset, but there are those of us that have had good experiences with Shane as well (as recently as this week), and I wanted to pass that along in the event that others might still be interested in the great leather products. They're still to this day my favorite mod to my crusier, and are the singular reason that my wife started liking my 80 finally (and therefore permitting me to continue to dump endless $$ into it).

I confirmed every order with him over email before placing it on the site, so maybe that's the trick? Again, I can only speak to my experience.

^^Well good for you I guess. Probably hit him when he needed the cash. Seems to be a pattern. Since you seem to be able to communicate with him, why don't you suggest he get with the folks on this thread and make good on the issues with his products that they may or may not have received?

In all the years that I've bought items online from small vendors, I've never had such a s***ty experience as I have with Shane.

That just elevates his level of douchbaggery IMO. Not for giving you good service but s***ting on a select few. Like I have said before, I would put garbage bags over my seats before I put his leather in my truck.

I was going to order a set this week. He communicated great at first, then ignored more mail. I have had bad experiences with small custom equipment manufacters in the past, not auto. You better pay with a credit card.
Then its still a pain, but you can get your money back.
I 'm new to this forum, just want to thank you guys for confirming my suspicions, you are great! Garbage Sacks Forever!

Like I said, didn't mean to diminish your experiences, some of which have clearly been pretty terrible.

Good!

Hope you read this Shane you POS.

Wow I'm glad I found this thread. I had msg'd Shane via Mud about the brown leather set, but no response. I'm just surprised that, while posting on Facebook, Shane still hasn't shown his face in this thread to make amends, even after all this time has passed. Bad sign. Too bad, because looks like the best leather kit around.

He ripped me off for $500. Too bad too; ordered front leathers, got them in record time and they were beautiful. Unfortunately ordered cushions too which never showed up but he charged me and said I got them. Called dozens of times (surprise, no answer), e-mailed multiple times (still no reply), now disputing with credit card company. Have pictures, dimensional analysis showing cushions could not possibly fit in the one box Shane shipped, and pictures and receipt from CDan showing I ultimately got cushions from him. Everything is still in original box waiting for this to be resolved from December so I can prove I never got cushions from Shane. First time I ordered from Metric and will be the last. Funny, was going to write a positive article about him after I had a good experience because he was so communicative up front.

There was another post recently about a guy in the south that was ripping people off and the authorities were asked to get involved. The folks here seemed to have really great cooperation and support from the police. Anybody else interested in pursuing this course of action?

Avoid Shane like the plague. Ordered 3 rows in December, box arrived missing a row and other bits. Emailed him for 2 months with no response and ultimately disputed charge. Still working with credit card company on this.

So my experience has been very good with Shane. I ordered on March 15, took a risk in my fellow man and got exactly what I ordered. Tan leather, first rows and it arrived on April 23rd. Very happy, so maybe this is a sign of some good to come of this thread.

I know people say pictures or it didn't happen
