Like I said earlier, I ordered high beam and low beam LEDs and reverse LEDs as well. I ordered 1/18/2014. That's over 1 year ago. Shane I hope you are reading this. Please give me a refund -$285.xx ..And I hope you feel better soon. I know what it's like to have health problems. I'm not mad by the way. I just think he forgot about me.
 
Let's not be too hard on this guy quite yet. We don't know his situation. If he is truly facing life/health problems I don't blame him for allowing his business to slip to the back burner. In regards to those of you that sent $ and have not received product, give him a fair chance to deliver by communicating. If that fails you can always call your credit card provider and request a chargeback. However if he receives a lot of request for chargebacks it will hurt is ability to process credit cards in the future, which will make it hard to continue business in the future.

Totally, I would have called paypal/CC long before that. $300 is not something anyone wants to lose. I couldn't imagine keeping someone's money for that length of time, my conscience couldn't handle that. The longest I have something is 4-5 weeks, and that is because of 1) I am out of stock on a rebuilt head so it is being rebuilt or 2) someone is going to pickup a large item that I need to work on, ie getting a set of lockers with a frame and I need to strip it down. In these scenarios, I communicate these delays to the customer ASAP. Transparency.

Yes, people have gotten spoiled with Amazon Prime and Walmart. This really doesn't apply to a small business though. And numerous small business are not full time as mentioned- I am not and I have been doing this 4+ years. Would like to be but that's another conversation :) Again transparency is key.
 
PP won't accept a claim past 30 days.... which after 5 orders with him all took that long so i wasn't too worried..... my Labrak did take 4 months however and I still can't get a response on extra light mounts.... but worse is the FJ80 grille I ordered from him as a Beta and waited 3 months for arrived and it's clearly for a Lexus..... wrong width and shape..... very nicely build jsut not going to work for me....

Should anyone want a Labrak shortly or LX grille I have both......

his design and products are top notch no doubt and I empathize with health issues but it's really easy to email....... not matter what bit you ....

Shane - I'm good for a set of FR seat covers IF you come back legit here. Your site says 2-4 weeks wait time.

I'll step up & order a pair of grey covers for my '97 LC if we talk first & are dead clear on delivery time.

And, if you get me (then others) as paying customers, you'll be able to afford to refund the LED bulbs guy.

Fixed :) And yes, paypal won't accept a claim past a certain number of days. I gave him time and when I realized he wasn't going to deliver, I tried a paypal dispute. All I could do, was send an email requesting a refund through paypal. Again, no reply. He seemed like a stand up guy. We even texted back and forth quite a bit in the past before this, but he doesn't answer my texts anymore or calls, emails, etc.

Over a year and no $285.00 LED lights? WTF, I can somewhat understand the seat covers but I'm thinking here that Shane is not making the lights. Just box them up and ship or give the man a refund. No excuses on this one.
 
I have no dog in this fight, but this has 50 shades of the EMS exhaust thread.
 
This is sadder because EMS's products sucked in addition to bad service. Shane's stuff is good.
 
I have a warranty issue with Shane over led headlights I bought during last group buy. When I first contacted him about one of them dieing he got back to me and said he had no other issues from anyone, and for me to send it back and he get a new one to me which he did. About a month later my other headlight started acting up so I contacted him again. At that time he explaned that the manufacture of the lights had a bad batch and he had totally changed to newer light which at the time he even had on his web site. I asked if I could simply upgrade to the newer lights and I would pay the differnce. He said no problem let me see if I have a set in stock. Well that was back about 6 months ago and many emails later to him with zero response. So the frustration I have and others who have payed and not got something is even worse when we hear about people recently placing orders and receiving them with out problems and getting emails or calls and text from Shane. If it was truly a medical problem that was causing your business to suffer then new paying customers would be having same issues that older customers are complaining about. Just my thoughts.

Oh, this makes my previous offer a little hard to want to back (I refuse to FB, so no idea of that world) - and so if you're posting roses & puppies lifestyle on there, then you really need to clean house & issue refunds, after which you shut down the website.

I'll still try to help you Shane.

Take some help before you become the next BS legend, like Adam Hanson aka Lowen Designs - he's punch on sight for midwesterners, and me - he owes me about $475, and that was just an average of cash that little prat stole from people.
Come back & make right, and a simple public "sorry 'bout past, this is what happens from today forward" - and either jump back or pull out honest, but don't go out like weaksauce, really.

PM me for my phone # -I'd like to see you win. The 80 world may not be as small as the other car forum I'm in, but wouldn't it be lame if you got a knock on the door from the local sheriff - looking into the claims people make. At the very least quit taunting people by showing up on FB.

The Dude would not abide your current actions.

It's all a shame to see. I've ordered a few things from Shane and have always gotten what I ordered. I'm even on the other end here where I ordered two items early December and promptly received them but received a duplicate order a little over a week ago. I've sent two emails to the "contact us" link in his site and haven't received a response. I haven't been charged twice and I want to do the honest thing and return this stuff but without response, I'm not going to spend $20 in shipping to return them. I do wish this would resolve itself as I want new leather and I'm not going to tie up that much money in hopes I get the leather.
 
To respond to some of MetricTLC defenders, it's common on here and elsewhere to see buyers with completely unreasonable expectations, who jump to bashing sellers over the internet when their overly needy demands haven't been met. However in this case I think buyers have been extremely patient with MetricTLC, I'm sure largely in part due to the quality of the product. I think at some point you've got to call it what it is.
