Just received some sad news that Jim’s bride of 57 years passed away this afternoon.

I know the fine folks here will keep them in their thoughts with many prayers.

Gosh, that's a bummer but it sounds like her husband Jim did everything to make the last months as good as possible. We should all be so fortunate. Headed to a wake for one of my wife's first cousins tomorrow. He also succumbed to a very protracted illness. Difficult time regardless of expectations or timing. Thoughts and prayers @riderjgs.

Jim did an extraordinary job caring for Bonnie when she was unable to take care of herself.

As I told him, she was a lucky woman to have Jim as her husband for over 57 years.

True love and devotion exemplified.

May we all have a marriage that goes 57 years! What an example! I couldn’t imagine the loss of loving someone that long. I’ll be praying for strength in the days ahead.

Someof us are lucky to have partners who put up with us and our passion for pigs, even though sometimes its totally ridiculous! Some of us are even luckier to have partners who encourage our passion for pigs, but others of us are at another level, like Jim and Bonnie, a couple that loved traveling together in their pig together, we are blessed

I am sorry to hear that, Jim. I very much enjoyed the conversations with Bonnie at the several Pig Parties we had together. What an amazing woman! Still remember you telling me about her holding the fastest track record and being a track driving instructor. She's in a better place.
Let me know if you need anything, Jim. I am not too far away.

Oh Jim, @riderjgs - I cannot even imagine what that would be like to lose your bride after all those years.
I bet there were more smiles than tears.
So glad that you got to celebrate her Birthday and anniversary.
Next time we pass through Junction we will see if you have time to meet up.

Jon, thanks for keeping us updated - gratitude.

I am going to have to hear those stories at the next Pig Party Jim.

Just a quick thank you to all who've responded. Obviously it's a hard time selfishly but also relief and gratitude that Bonnie's in a better place after a long five-year bout with dementia. Kids are home and we're going through old pictures preparing for her memorial. Thought whose who knew Bonnie would like these. Thanks again to all.
