NEWS FLASH: I just broke through the elusive 20mpg ceiling in the 1HZ.

20.31 mpg.

I know that this is not actually correct, because it’s not adjusted for tire diameter, but let me have my small moment of happiness.

Finally: who can find the corgi in this picture?

If your tires are larger, then you should actually be getting even better mileage.

The corgi needs bigger tires to help with its ground clearance

This seat bottom came from Partsouq.

@mustardfj40, if you’re good with hog ring pliers and upholstery, I’d love a hand when I get around to doing this one. It’s pretty low on the priority list right now.
You must have got the last one. it's no longer available. I tried to order this form them a few week a go and it was the same thing.
Thanks anyways ;)

Their inventory fluctuates a lot. I hate looking at stuff, because If I see either one or two or something in stock, I usually buy it just to make sure that it doesn’t disappear again. And then I accumulate more parts and spend more money. Things could be worse I guess...it’s not hookers and blow.

Picked up a new OEM driver’s seat bottom foam. Time to get some hog ring pliers and get at it.

Is this going into fabric manual seats? If so, I would appreciate any pics of the pad installation.

For my 1996 US-spec manual cloth front left seat pad, Partsouq appears to indicate 60110 for leather cushion and 60020 for other applications. If your seats are similar to mine, it might be a viable option as I hunt for lingering NOS languishing in a warehouse somewhere.

Yes, fabric manual seats. I will be sure to document how the new OEM seat foam actually compares. I’m hoping that the new OEM will fit. If it doesn’t, I will modify it or break down and actually go to an upholstery shop.

This truck rules. Love the rear doors. Think I've seen it driving near/around the Capitol area?

@elpeyote most likely, I’m central/south/Bee Cave most of the time.

Amayama delivered. Below is the 71512-60020. There appears to be a difference in the forward thigh support between the 60110 and 60020, which would explain why my present cloth seat feels flatter and less supportive than the the leather 80 seats I had in the past. Also, the leather seats have a significant lateral pleat in the center of the seat bottom that isn't present in the cloth version. It looks like the 60110 foam also has a wider lateral channel that may accomodate that pleat.

Interesting. Good to know. Show us what it looks like when installed!

It's going to be a while before I get to it...I suspect you'll finish the seat cushion project before I do.

Following along with your crazyness....

Just stumbled upon this, love it... I'm also from the Austin area - Dripping Springs more specifically.

Same. I don't know why but the pull of this thread is stronger than bottombracket's 79 build thread.

Still subbed to both though.

Flaming Heck -- no way @cheeze -- you gotta lay off the weed....:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

The 79 build thread is epic and it is just started.

For those that don't play in the 70 area....
