I think I have found inspiration for my FJ55. Looks like the door handles and the mirrors are off of a FJ Cruiser. I might have to do this after I finish my FJ40

I dunno man, when I was in high school, vans were a big deal. Lots of people had converted the inside to have a bed. Sometimes even a waterbed.

Dad was definitely dead set against that. Acceptable cars had small back seats and a console between two bucket seats in the front.

He called it, “birth control”.

So I imagine that a fj55 would have been “against the rules” as well, but a fj40 might have passed.

Then again, he used to tell me he had a friend back in the day who owned a 62 Corvette. Dad asked his friend how he got any “action” and his friend responded, “on the hood”.
