I used an Aisin clutch for a 13BT I think. Can't find a part number, but will look more tomorrow.

If you were closer, you could have one of these...

I used and Exedy on my last 3b turbo and had no issues.

I have checked out your videos, thanks.

I can't for the life of me find where I ordered my clutch from, but I did find a 14BT powered vehicle on Partsouq, Dyna 200 BU91L-MDDTX3. According to that, the OEM clutch cover is
Toyota 31210-36190
AISIN CTX133
Exedy TYC540 (TYC540A, according to Exedy's site) which comes in a kit TYK-6676, 21 teeth, 275 mm O.D.

And they list a heavy duty option TYK-6676HD On Ebay Au for $558 au$

Thanks for that Dan... I just wasn't sure if there would be any issues because the Dynas didn't have the H55F box, but I think I'll just bite the bullet and order one and see how we go. đź‘Ś

The road trip to San Diego was a success, and the last trip for my old tires. I can't believe I've had this thing for close to 50,000 miles, just went over 200k miles on it on that trip.

I got a set of Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires mounted up yesterday at Discount Tire. 255/85 R16 again.

Did our annual brush cut on the local ski hill last Saturday. Trees are indicating that Fall is coming, but the temp. isn't, still hitting the mid 80's here during the day.

As is that step/receiver hitch extension. Not expensive, but dang handy as a seat and makes it way easier to get in and out of the back. Also just the right height for that table.

'OJ'? More like O.G.
I'm up there pretty much every Saturday and Sunday I'm in town through the season and every powder day that I can get away with at work. Maybe 50 days a year?

Put OME Medium lift on last weekend. Got a set of ad-a-leaves for the rear to make it a 'heavy' in the back, but opted to not install them. It rides much better thatn expected, I was afraid it would be a much harsher ride over the tired springs that were on it, but am pleasantly surprised.

Install was pretty easy as I'd had all four springs off in the past few years putting new OEM spring bushings in, pulled all the "new" rubber bushings out and installed the OME Poly bushes that came with the kit.

Steering is a bit trickier, harder to stay in my lane at speed. I'm thinking I may need some caster correction shims in the front. Anyone else have to do this?

Not too noticeable to the untrained eye, but it is a 'hop' to get in now and the first couple times getting out, you notice the ground is a few inches farther away.

My high-beam relay failed on us last Friday night...sucks when the lights go out at speed. I had a spare relay in the glove box. Just ordered two more. Wish I could figure out why these fail. At least they don't cost much.

I don't think I ever documented this, I got the Toyota headlight wiring upgrade kit a few years ago and the relays burnt out on me...twice. I sourced a 'high-current' relay from Ali Express, and put it in last fall, made it all winter without burning out.

Omron G8HN-1A4T-RH Ordered two, the one that was failing was the low beam, so I only replaced it. Both my low and high beams made it through the winter without burning up.

My horn stopped working a few months ago. I thought it had to do with the 24V Hellas that I'd installed, as shortly after installing them, they would work only sporadically.

I finally took some time to trouble shoot and it turns out the contact under the horn button has worn down too far for the button to close the circuit.

I couldn't figure out how to remove\replace the contact and didn't want to tear it apart any further, so I just shimmed the contact plate on the backside of the steering wheel for now.

I also took the time to wash the steering wheel in soap and water, can't believe how grimy the backside of it gets.

Nice to be able to blow my horn at yahoos again.

Found this post.

Need to order the horn contact pin, I think it's the same part number as the one on the FJ62. Need to take the clam-shell off and there's a cir-clip that retains it.

Quick follow up to the original post - just did this for my wife's 1990 FJ62; snapped a few pics for the sake of posterity...

The horn worked ONCE when I was troubleshooting, so I was pretty certain it was just the horn pin being worn. My suspicion's were right...took all of an hour to pull the steering wheel off, take apart the column, and swap out the pin.

That's a lot of honking!

Worked like a champ!

I just replaced the pin on mine, iirc that circlip was very difficult to get back on.

Went out wheeling/camping a few weeks ago. Great trip.

Stopped off at the carwash prior going home. Blew a bit of bondo/rust off the right rear quarter...been ignoring the issue for a while. Can't really ignore this hole though.

Shopped and asked around for patch panels, no one has any readily available that I could find. I had some sheet metal in the garage, figured anything would be better than this. I have never attempted anything like this, so it's been a learning process. Slow, but as I said, anything is better than this.

Most of the rust cut out...I'm sure it will come back, but it was mostly bondo and rust before.

Had to fab up a couple pieces before I closed it up, two on the back corner, and a piece of the inner wheel well lip.

And last night I got this tacked in, still need to finish welding it out. This is so time consuming.

Moved on to the front of the wheel-well on the right side.

And of course, there's more under the surface.

Not the best patch but it'll do for now.

Ran out of 22 gauge, so I used some 18 gauge sheet I had. Way harder to form, but a bit easier to weld. Probably have 6-hours into this one patch...

IMG_20220512_195411040.jpg

Used a 'home-made' brake and a piece of 2" tube to form some of it at work.

IMG_20220513_141348609.jpg

more beating-to fit.

IMG_20220518_164129606.jpg

Welded up the corners, drilled some holes for 'spot' welds. then bent the curve on the bottom, fit it in the hole, took about 2-hours to get it to fit just right...

IMG_20220518_180848775.jpg

and finally tacked into place.

Ran out of time last night, hope to get it welded out today, as I need to drive it this weekend. Not sure if I want to do the other side before painting this side, or wait and do it all at once, at the rate I'm going it's going to take me all summer to finish.
