And a front housing can be built out of a rear 9.5" housing without spending the $1k on RuffstuffI don't either. I get a much stronger housing out of better steel that'll be easier to weld my link and coil mounts to, I get a 9.5 front and can keep my RCVs and hubs and get to choose my caster angle from the get go
I'll still be doing that. I'm bending factory housings that are trussed and reinforced. Haven't seen people bending the fabbed housings yetAnd a front housing can be built out of a rear 9.5" housing without spending the $1k on Ruffstuff
What part of the housing are you bending ?I'll still be doing that. I'm bending factory housings that are trussed and reinforced. Haven't seen people bending the fabbed housings yet
It'll be a RuffStuff housing for the front 9.5. Hellfires if I can swing them before this year's shenanigans will go on also, otherwise those will have to waitHave you decided on a housing ? There are some Hell Fire knuckles on marketplace .
I was bending at the balls, so then I got another housing and reinforced those right way. Then it seems like the long side tube has a bend in it even though it's been trussed as well. Laser says it's not straight through and axles don't like to come out. Short side I think is ok, but I think the knuckle ball is bent backwards on that side now too just a hair. I'm over it. I spend more time fixing it and replacing seals and stuff in there than I want toWhat part of the housing are you bending ?

Death by a thousand cuts. None of it is catastrophic, but combined it's getting to be a royal pain, and wanting to go 9.5 anyways, I may as well go all inThank you for the explanation.
Yeah that was a weird one. Don't get me wrong, a HP8 is pretty strong all things considered, but then interchangeability went out the windownot even an lc guy but always thought it was nonsense the 80 didn't get the 9.5 front.
Inners are 30 spline front or rear. Most upgrade to 30 spline outers as well from the stock 27 spline .Curious, are you building the 9.5 front to accept the stock inners ? Are the rear axles & front inners same spline ?
