Nice summary padawan. :)

Next to come off was the water pump and water pump housing. Incase anyone else is using this thread as an example we drained the coolant and oil before hand, but there may still be little coolant in the water pump housing so watch out for that! As you can see in the pics below there are I believe five nuts for the water pump and I want to say at least 6-7 bolts for the housing. (That second picture is me taking off the housing by the way.)

I recommend replacing all hose clamps with the proper OEM clamps, they're designed to apply even pressure around the circumference and won't dig into the outer surface of the hose.

Cylinder head has been sent in for rebuild and has been magnafluxed. We will be getting some more measurements before ordering parts we need. Then clean/ rebuild.

Nice work! I’ve been waiting for updates.

Are you going full on, take to machine shop, magnflux and clean and rebuild from there?

Like my dad said the head has been taken to the machine shop and magnfluxed already, but we are taking probably the camshaft and other bits and pieces later on to be rebuilt/machined. Then the rebuild will start.

Any chance the boys can be around during the testing? It's kind of interesting to see. I was in my first engineering position before I had an opportunity to see it done.

I think we will be able too see it, but stay tuned! I think you are absolutely right too, because I think you learn a lot from just watching!

Gaskets for the timing cover and valve cover came in yesterday along with brand new rocker arms! Thanks to @Onur! Getting prepped for putting the 2H back together!

@Cowboy45, the following is enroute from Down Under to complete the build:

6 new precups
Complete std piston ring set
Std #1 lower conrod bearings
Std #2 main crankshaft bearing kit
Oil pump and housing

We also got a rare hj45 RHD Power Steering box from UAE. Thanks @SipLife for finding this!!!

I guess she is still staying true to her international roots.

Well a whole load of parts came in from Australia for the 2H rebuild! We got brand new pre-cups, piston rings, con-rod bearings, Crankshaft bearings, timing cover, timing cover housing with oil pump, and a brand new gasket kit. We also have been cleaning up the engine and getting it ready to paint. Gray or blue???

I will update some more once we paint the engine. We plan on taking another 2H, H55, and Split Case to mark up positioning while the engine is going back together. Stay tuned!

Blue with natural timing cover.

Sounds good but not sure how the blue would go with either Mustard Yellow or Pollux Orange. I do love factory though... 🤣

@cruiserdan Do you know a source for factory blue high heat paint if we take that route?
