That’s a sweet color on the 60. Stripe is awesome.Full dune beige with some retro stripes breaks up the single tone. Saw this online.

Could be the lighting brightening/yellowing the hood and front fenders. The doors, windshield frame, and bed look more like Pollux Orange. BTW, my wife and I have pretty much decided to have our '71 FJ40 painted Pollux Orange - it's my next project. We're towing it back to New Mexico (its real home) from Nevada in a couple of weeks. It's been out there since 2001. Drivetrain will be the original 66,000-mile 2F from my '76 FJ40, a later very low mileage H41 from an '84 HJ47, a drum parking brake split transfer case from an '85 BJ45, and the original 4:11 differentials.
Retro stripes are also growing on me. Wonder if some accents on the camper shell would work.

GREAT Read. Thanks for sharing. So much history and fun Cruiser goodness
I agree completely! When we were designing the sketches it was difficult to decide were to put the ambulance cross, or whether to have it at all. I like this idea a lot. (We put the cross, because Old Landy was originally an ambulance from Lesotho, so we wanted to keep some history. Also maybe we can put an imprint of Africa or South Africa instead as some heritage.)Since you asked...
Color scheme seems settled.
I really like the tri color banding tying in with the lower base color like you have it. I also like the wording in the banding.
I'm not real sure about the big medic symbol. I think it would be cool to replace it with your own simple logo and incorporate the things that are important to you, like "Old Landy", the medic symbol, some dates, some country/continent shapes, description of your intended use, i.e. adventure or exploration.
