I'm looking for a tire carrier "cushion" for my 1978 FJ40. I have a 1978 tube-style tire carrier, but I don't have the rubber piece that keeps the steel tubing from smacking against the body.

Thanks.

I need one, too!

1977 TOYOTA FJ40 Land cruiser

I think I'm going to sell my YJ and by a fj40, or fj60. I'm thinking fj40 because I will miss driving around with the top off. Also I can flip off TJ guys that wave at me, or tell me "nice willys".

I'm sure you could find some sort of tubing from Home Depot to put around the tire carrier to stop the rattles and still have it look good.

Try this again.........all located in central CT, you pick up and load in your own vehicle.
Tranny humps, white has no severe rot, but pretty hacked up, black has some rot but not as hacked up. $15 each or $20 pair.

Also a set of four 33x12.5x15 Thornbirds with rims $250 firm with dry rot read the Craigs ad.

Ramsey Winch located in central CT $150 firm. This is around a 4,000# winch, comes with a hydraulic motor and a lot of steel to mount it to some type of boom. My guess it was used for pulling wire for a utility. Does it work? I don't know. :meh: If you've got hydraulics on a tractor hook it up and find out. I've been pouring in oil in the motor in the hopes it doesn't freeze up in case I ever tried to use it. Again, you lift and load, I'll watch. :p

Header, came off a 1968, and exhaust front to back. Not bad shape, especially if you don't have any exhaust. $50 OBO as long as you come pick it up.

I'm looking to off load the OEM transfer case (no actuator motor) from my 2004 4Runner (V6). Everything works great mechanically. I swapped it for a Marlin Twin Stick because the tcase actuator motor failed and needs to be replaced. If anyone is interested, make me an offer.

I have a few parts left from an abandoned 83 FJ60 project(Colorado vehicle, no serious rust), located in central NH(unless otherwise stated), pickup only, shoot me a pm if you're interested.
radiator, looks good, $40
hood, good shape, some surface rust on hood catch otherwise looks good, $60
Right and left fenders, some scratches and small dents, not rotted, $50 or 75 for both
Driver and passenger doors, complete, both have scratches, minor dings except drivers side which is dented, may have some light rust starting in the lower seem, pass. $60 drivers $40
2 Radiator supports, (one is in storage in VT so I need a decent heads up to go over and grab it) some rust in lower seams, no rot holes, still very usable, $40 ea.
Complete chassis(just the frame, no running gear or steering), solid, no serious rot or pitting, does have some swelling in the rear rails, rear crossmember is slightly bent and front rear spring mounts need welding(where the spring pins bolts to the spring hanger), address these issues, blast and spray it and you'd have a nice frame, $350
I'll get some pics of this stuff up as soon as I can.
