Engine has not been rebuilt. Still sporting the dome tops. Head has been rebuilt. Engine came from a strong running truck many years ago. Was previously in a truck named Dozer and owned by @mtweller. He can vouch for it. It had been sitting in the corner of my garage for 10 years or so waiting for the engine in the Crockpot to die. It never did.
Damn, I might have bought it back at that price just so I have the numbers matching engine to my 40. I ran really strong, just needed a good reseal for all the oil leaks.

Ramon, I sold the Crockpot and all the parts I had accumulated for it (including the engine) as a package deal. If you want it back, now's the time to jump on it. Patrick is your man. I would not have parted with the engine by itself. In my mind it needed to stay with the Crockpot. Your old engine is better than the one in the Crockpot and I had kept it in storage for when the time came to swap them. The time never came though, and I decided to let it all go.
My daughter, son in law and I are on the lookout for a 6x10 or 6x12 utility trailer . Before We scour fecesbook marketplace and craigslist for one, figured I'd float it out here first. Preferably triad area of NC (Greensboro, High Point, Winston)

@mtweller, too late, the deal's done. I may be open to getting your engine in trade for the one in your 40. I'm not concerned about a pristine truck. LMK

Steve, I have a 6'x16' tandem axle I could be talked out of. I've had it for the better part of a decade and I've outgrown my need for it. I actually need a 6'x8'. It'll easily carry 3 tons (I've had it on scales at 6600) and has a 2" receiver and stakeboards all around. LMK if you're interested.

My 40's sportin' a 6.0L LS these days. It's not really that big of a deal. While my 40 would have been a decent restoration candidate many moons ago, I've modified it way too much for it to be one now. That motor only has about 100k on it it and had a good head job done. Reseal it and it'll be good for a LONG time and will run strong. I had cut the head some to up the compression when I was running on LPG, but not enough to sweat running low test I don't think. Enjoy.
Im trying to make room in the garage for another vehicle and 10 years and Dave's garage, 1 year of my ownership, its possible i might go before the engine in the CP does. Im mot sure what the opposite or a horder is, but im that guy

If I wasn't in need of a rear bumper I'd have already bought these.
This week at work someone left a note on my windshield to buy my 99 LX daily, ended up selling it today.

yep, it's comfortable and quiet! i flew up to NJ and drove it back and was grinning ear to ear the whole time. i love it. Nice rig! Did you do the slider and bumper install yourself? What sliders did you go with and were you able to keep the lights underneath?
