I bet your fan not working has something to do with the regass, too much of a coincidence if ya ask me,there is a cut out switch on your air con system, high pressure i think it is,it will be on the receiver dryer or near by,the coke can shaped thingy with a line in and out.I think your fan should still work even if the air con was in cut out mode.Disconnect the wires to the switch and try the fan then. Not for long though.

You should be able to find straps on the rear seats, you just pull them and they will release the bottom seat to fold forward.

Thanks Goldchaser, I'll give that a go in a day or so.

Bottom (Sitting part) of rear seat folds forward first (before back of rear seat). Reach in the crease between the two parts in the middle (between driverside and passenger side (left and right) you may have to dig around a bit. A strap loop (maybe 4 or 5 inches long) and pull up. The seat will fold forward against the front seats, then fold down the back of the seat.

There are some gnarly cruisers in this thread! Inspires me to make mine look as good as it runs.

Just wondering, which one are you ??

And when you have them released wrap a few layers of electrical tape around the loops on the floor they clamp to,it will stop any rattles, likewise on the top clamps also, mine rattled alot, electrical tape does the trick for at least 12 months at a time.

Ok you blokes thats enough photos of bloody nice beige 60's,im gettin close to trading in a can of silver i got for mine the other day:D:D:D

I actually went one better here, I wrapped the top studs in electrical tape and the put a section of heat-shrink over it. The bottom one still seems to be pretty snug.

Also as a bonus I dug out about $3.50 of coins from under the seat and vinyl floor mat. I also tallied 6 paper clips, 2 bobby pins, 1 x metallic pink false fingernail and a tin badge that says "Princess". I was rather hoping the PO had decided to use $100 notes as sound deadener....

Today I got the heavy guage wiring run through the cab, made a bracket for my radiator overflow bottle (making room for the 2nd battery) and tidied up the floor a bit. Scraped out some of the insulation on the floor that had become wet and mouldy, and have been designing a bracket for a small 12V to 240V inverter for charging phone/laptop etc. Hope to mount this on the back of the centre console next to the Maglite.

I'm just hanging out until local businesses re-open so I can try and organise my new rims. I just want to drive the damn thing!!! I also need to buy a new holesaw and arbor as I think I left the one that I had in the roof of a tractor I was working on a few weeks ago...:censor: This will be required for the Accessory Power panels that I'm making up.

That's a pretty snazzy trick on the shrink wrap although I wonder if it will get torn up as well.

to Goldchaser....Silver is nice but c'mon, Tan is what you know you want...

NQ, forgive my ignorance, your currency is dollars not pounds and quids and such?

Yeah mate, $AUD here, at the moment worth about .90 $USD for a change.

When I visited the US at Christmas in 2000 it was worth about .53 $USD. Spent a lot of time indoors, doing nothing much..... Cheapest thing to do was eat!!

As for the heat-shrink, yeah it probably will get torn up, but I don't plan on opening it up that often. Can't be worse than the sticky electrical tape residue on everything. The stuff just melts off in the heat over here.

Tan & black

For some reason tan body + black wheels look good :)

Stop messin with my mind, painting the inside of my rig tomorrow, its too late, but i might be doin some tossin and turning tonight in my sleep, sweat streaming from my forehead, beige or silver, silver or beige,oh lordy help me,have i made the right decision?
The little blonde bombshell will slap me in the face at 2 in the morning and bring me to my senses:cheers:

Silver is nice too...A buddy in town has a Silver 60 but then he painted the roof white (to reflect instead of absorb sun and heat and to harken back to older cruisers.)

I guess I just have an aversion to Silver and Black because my American Football team is a bitter rival with a Silver and Black uniformed team and I hate all the fake gangbangers and hoodrats that wear their colors and don't even care about American Football.

Its an odd silver this one trapper,it should look good,im not sure why you would paint the roof white, silver isn't a dark colour?

That colour you're putting on Goldchaser is pretty schmick. The only other one I would consider from the current crop is the really dark metallic charcoal one that also comes on the current utes. Dark is definitely a disadvantage though in the dust and heat....

4E9 - You know you want to baby...........:D
