This story starts in the classifieds. I feel like when it comes to downsizing, "Resistance is futile".
First two pics from the ad.

The seller bought this truck in Eastern Oregon (Pendleton), a nice dry place. It was last registered in 2002. He stored it in a shipping container near the coast. The early Warn winch still ran when he bought it.

.
The bracket holding the driver's seat isn't stock, but it appears to be adjustible to 4 settings.

When did safety strap eyebolts stop?

[Edit: Turns out it had the two holes, and wedged under the gas tank was one of eyebolts. I had a beat up eye bolt in the right color too.]

My 63 did not have them but I just drilled the Cowl and ran a tap. Should have a captured Nut but I could not get it up in that space. I suppose if the strap needs to save my life, then I probably have bigger problems. At least it looks cool.

Didn’t realize you picked this one up, congrats! Nice buy. I love the spring green patina. Looks like it still has some of the FST hardware, gonna go back to that or keep the hard top? Looks like a pretty complete truck overall.

What’s that print on the rear quarter?

It definately has the body side of soft top hardware. I went to see it because I have a correct hard top, I was pleasantly surprised it was an FST. I am going to put one of Julie's canvas tops on it, so I could switch it back and forth seasonally. I don't know what I'll do about the missing doors. Otherwise definately close to complete.
Print on the corner is for the Pendleton owner's black powder hunting club. Gonna keep that, am wondering how to preserve it?

When it arrives I'll get to see what is the proverbial 'box of parts'.

So that thing on front, maybe a Warn Bellview 5687. I'm a PTO kind of guy, but I guess they may drag me kicking and screaming into 1965 with this new fangled tech.

Clean install on the Warn winch controls.

Anyone know what stock seatbelts were in 1965? Were they still red with the chrome buckles? @MexicanNewby and I both need to know.

Thank for posting up! I appreciate the detail pics as a point of reference for my '66 (65) past patina project. Now the fun begins. Enjoy!

Inside mirror is earlier version. You need the one-in-a-million one with the 3-screw mount in a triangle pattern.

Other than that... 😆. You sure been finding some skookum rigs. My ‘65 hardtop doesn‘t have the windshield fold down pads or clamps.

Is it this mirror?

I think that's what's on it right now?
