Here's a question, did the 1965 FST come with a Vader light? If so, where did they put it?
There is no right side dash mounting hole like in later FST's. The driver's side under dash bracket is partially obstructed by heater controls. I'm thinking I'll move the controls an inch or so to the right and by golly add the OEM one I bought.
Keith, IIRC, I ran across this once, about 30 years ago and discovered when I removed the under-dash heater control bracket that the Vader hole was covered up by the bracket.

There it is. Thanks Mark.

There's plenty of real estate to slide the heater controls closer to the heater.
I'm going wild here, forgive me Mr T.
I might have to now call this a resto mod!

Got this Con-Ferr seat frame long ago. Seeing what it's like. It actually has a little sag in the middle, and fits loosely. If I use it, an install without drilling would be nice.

Have a donor door I could use to repair the soft door above. Has anyone had luck trying this? I wouldn't do it myself, would use a pro.

My driver's side running board is pretty beat, and I found these locally and prepped. A few dings to fix vs many. Wish me luck.

Worked on the seat frames from this truck, and got them powder coated. The Con-Ferr rear seat frame too. Now I can worry about the addictive qualities of powder coating. Such a quick turnaround at Altech Finishes in Eugene!

I rebuilt one of those and had it covered in coral vinyl, sorry I don’t have a better pic:

Tucker, Is the idea with these seats that you put a sheet of plywood on the bottom? If so, how thick? I picked up a coral seat kit a while back on the blind faith that they would work with my frame, and am pleasantly surprised so far.

Well it's exterior plywood at least. Haven't padded the seat back yet. When I rolled the dice I got lucky.

This may be the only Land Cruiser part ever allowed in the house. Told the wife this was living room furniture quality. She said fine, you can sit on it. ;)

With a light colored patina rig it's tempting to replace things with nicer original paint, (or at least more of it). Fish4reel is my favorite auction seller. His parts pics.

Sometimes things were repainted long ago, but you can usually tell.

The defroster vents never made a lot of sense for a hinged windshield with hood blocks. Took them out to see the windshield down. I notice a '65 hardtop has no holes in the hood for hood blocks or windshield hood latches.
