Sorry if someone has already talked about this earlier but does anyone know if this winch plate would fit under the stock front bumper?

Thanks!

So...assuming the winch plate is constructed the same way as the one on my bumper: my answer is no. The bumper (more specifically the winch plate) slips over the front frame horns covering the bolt points for the stock bumper.

Of course you could mod it to get there but at that point, what's the point?

If you are capable of doing a bit of minor fabrication, adding some plate to the top of the bumper helps it feel more "finished" IMO. I did that to my Taco bumper and got rid of the large void on the top.

I like this a lot. Adding it to my another-reason-to-get-welder list

Anyone in the Sacramento area interested in one of these and want to see if they will give us a better deal on shipping? I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on the complete front one and was wondering if anyone else was interested in ordering at the same time.

@HAAANK I dont think I will get a winch for now since I know I wont be using it but I kinda dont like that there is a big empty space.

Yeah same here actually. I'll probs go HF at some point and see if theirs fits.

Just pulled the trigger on one. Was going to go BIO since he's local, but he's currently out 12 weeks and right now there's nothing on the truck since I sold my ARB. Got a couple light bar tabs for $6 to go along with it to mount a couple lights that were already on the truck. My winch is a 10k, so I'll be curious to see how much I need to trim.

Also, with the sale of the ARB and since I was already ordering a bumper, I got some of their t case gears as well. Both will get Rubicon tested in about 5 weeks.

...but I still like it. It's Really hard to beat the price. I still want to build my own though

You could mount a nice sized toolbox for recovery gear in place of a winch.

Why does it stick out so far? Why would they design it like that? I'm not seeing the upside, and it's more weight and materials.
