Why does it stick out so far? Why would they design it like that? I'm not seeing the upside, and it's more weight and materials.

The winch has to clear the grill/lower valence, and it looks to me like there is just enough clearance to do that. It doesn't look to me like they could have made it fit much closer without requiring cutting of the aforementioned parts.

Maybe it just looks like it sticks way out just because you aren't used to seeing a Cruiser that low to the ground, and there is no winch mounted up - proportions are all wacked out.:meh:

I like how far it comes out, imho it gives the truck more shape in the front. It could be a nice step/seat/workbench/generator platform.

It's still quite a bit lighter and lower profile than the ARB it replaced on my rig. My priorities shifted over to pulling the front 3rd and doing an axle service, but I'll get pics up once it's painted and done.

But there are no recovery points on the bumper, right? Why would they build it that way?

That is a fair bit of extra clearance...:hmm: I wonder if the larger frame winches like a Warn M12000 would fit?

I ALMOST bought one of these for my 4Runner, which I then sold to buy my LC. I really like the top plate modification. It gives the bumper a very finished look.

For those who have the front bumper already, What's the possibility of mounting a couple driving lights under that little stinger? I'm guessing with a couple light tabs welded on there it wouldn't be a problem.

I don't have a stinger and you can fit 4" cubes on either side of the winch and them still be protected. There wouldn't be any reason you couldn't mount a bar or cubes with a simple tab if you have the stinger version.

I bought a front.
