I do want to stuff a 3fe into my pig!!! Nice rig!

Thanks, fixed the PS and coolant leaks and discovered temp gage isn't working so add that to the list.
Made up some patch pans for floor and I got the back inside all coated w POR15. Rolled around underneath it for a bit looking at gas tank fill situation and everything's in really good shape. It all has a coating of like greasy dust on it probably from power steering fluid but its very solid frame and suspension wise. Funny thing I was cleaning up the rims and decided to check air pressure in tires as steering seemed a bit heavy to me....10 lbs in each tire.....lol....they didn't look soft but I guess looks are deceiving. Aired up to 35lbs and worked air out of new PS line and much better.
As far as rust holes in body I think I am going to just weld in patch panels as I can make them and drive it. I'll get some rattle can blue and see if I can match one of the blue colors on it..LOL....all doors and pinch seams etc will get lots of fluid film.

I do need to come up with a patch for rear quarters. You can see right up into cargo area as PO cut both layers of the body to get rid of rot so I need to figure out a patch to weld in to seal that up.

Also if anybody has a drivers side marker light mine is missing on the front fender.....thanks 😊

No such thing as substandard as long as you are out in your shop having fun, It’s true there is some talented folks down here in the Sty but not once have I seen them be anything but friendly and helpful when critiquing others fab work.

Or even out in your driveway...

So after thinking on it some more I opted to glue and screw my patch panels in where the old front body mounts were and then seam sealed the edges. I know this isn't right but it'll get me thru this summer until I can do a better repair w Bob's panels and take my time and get it right. Like I said before my goal is to enjoy it this summer working as I go. Also a few pics of various things going on underneath. I like the rear bumper hitch reinforcement, should be good enough to tow a small fishing boat and my dirt bike. Everything needs greased and a bolt for the front ujoint for starters....LOL.... lots to do but all manageable as I go. My biggest fear is taking it apart and never getting it back on the road. OH, and just so you guys know sty fever has set in and I have another in my sights for parts.... this LC s*** is serious man, the fever is real!!

Smart, we see more than one perfect pig project never see the light of because the owner gets twisted around the details and forgets to enjoy the adventure.
Patches look like they should keep your feet dry and big picture that's all that matters.

OK, this is getting serious now so I'm going to give you another little tidbit of advice. We have a local legend around here that most just refer to as “Scraps”. He’s going to seem like a nice older gentleman and invite you to check out his build thread….. STOP.. Don’t do it that’s how he sets the hook then as he’s reeling you in he’ll mention things like “it’ll be fine, it’s only like $5000.00”...

THIS IS A TRAP!!!! More than one of us has fallen for this trap and after burning through all our money then selling a kidney we “A” have no more money to buy Booze or “B” have the kidney strength to support our alcoholism. But more than one sweet sweet pig has been built in his shadow.

You’ve been warned.

Yeah, that guy, its his build thread that got me into this pig slop in the first place a couple years ago....I was perfectly fine doing my 80 series thing and BAM.... @scrapdaddy thread had me hook, line and sinker!! I am keen to his ways.....I really just want to know if his wife has a sister because she is a keeper!! My wife hates my pig and my dirt bike!! LOL ;-)
