Alright let's see, I HAVE been kinda busy on this nameless brown bastard. Unfortunately I've been a bit under the weather the last several days. I had planned on a rather large update, but unfortunately I lost a lot of my pictures after this IOS8 update.

I had to so after the spring pack build, I got started on the cut and turn. Boy was that a lot of fun! The cutting part was easy, the turning part however.....

I figured out the best way to turn the thing with no vice! Feel free to steal this stellar idea.

Turned one knuckle ball set my caster, welded and repeat the car trick on the second. Set weld and forget!

Got the knuckles and hubs started here and the high steer going. I ran into some problems though with the high steer before I took this picture. I had attached the arms got them all torqued and preload checked, blah blah blah... I go and attach the tie rod, all happy with my progress and BAM! The tie rod was hitting the spring packs. blurghhh!

Needless to say this was demoralizing. So....

I took the 2 smallest springs out of the pack and voila- tie rod now has clearance. The down side is that the springs are now flatter and my ass end is about 2 inches higher than the front.

Hopefully when it's geared down back there it will look a bit better.

Got these sexy things back from the driveline guys! I'm not sure what they did to Frankenstein the front shaft together. The splines might be from a jeep, I think one on the flanges might be from a full size Toyota. He explained it all to me but to be honest I was too excited at the idea of getting them attached to fully commit to his explanation.

Hopefully I can get these in today- though I'm still super sick. I keep having coughing spasms which cause me to make a lot of jerking movements and the dropping of anything I might be holding at the time. It's pretty annoying.

After that, it's fill some diffs, bleed ze' brakes and were rolling (on 30's, heh.)

With a top speed of about 38 mph rolling on those 30's with 4.88's. :hillbilly: You might have to use the bike lane to get to the tire shop. Awesome build so far.

Keep it up :D

Be careful welding suspension components. Wouldn't want any welds to split while driving down the road.

Aaaaannd now I'm scared.

No, this weld should be fine. I had gone back over this one before I wheeled it out of the garage and its pretty ugly looking as a result. (Hopefully) haha!

The fronts were my first go at welding in quite a long time. And my FIRST time with a wire feed. I dunno... All in all I feel pretty confident about them.

My later welds started looking better, especially once I got used to welding with the body and other crap in way. One I got gas hooked up, they definitely looked better too. Not awesome, just better.

Keep it up :D
