At 8k installed, it's almost a no brainer. Seriously, people spend that much in the states rebuilding their petrols. You could ACTUALLY recoup the cost of a diesel swap at that price point.

Yea 8k installed!!!! I am waiting to hear back on some news once I hear it i will pull the trigger.

Yeah, I'm thinking maybe I try and make this trip in 2017 with 10-15k in hand, and just do a manual/diesel swap then, and buy a bunch of spare parts that are hard for my cruiser shop to find....

Hang on to that contact.
Is that just bling or a new engine?
Can they supply glow plug relays, 24v starter and switch gear for 12v-24v?
Looking at ditching the SC gasser once I finish selling our house and moving to the new one we already bought.

Frank that diesel is calling you. I can faintly hear it calling me in NY.

Out of curiosity do you know how much a full, quality paint job would run down there (at the Landcruiser spa)

Awesome!!! I see the fj55 is being put to good use as a parts hauler. Now I hope the container does not get here to soon. I want to be able to come get the body. It would suck if I have to send a friend in my truck, while I am stuck at work.

That's me too, waiting on some good news :) Based on experience, I don't see myself moving to diesel. But a new 1FZ, yes.

If you don't come back with that in your 80 you should be shot and at the least tarred and feathered!!

Well it's official. The 80 is getting a heart transplant. She will be put in a car carrier and brought back to Bogota from Cartagena where the 1hdt will be mated to the h151f. Cant wait to drive it!!!

Victory! Good call. And I'm also v jealous
