Nice, those are some pretty solid numbers. I would be pretty happy with that result to maintain reliability.

Are you on stock headers and cats? Might be some gains to be made with some long tubes and sport cats.
Thanks! That was my entire goal too, I wanted that extra grunt but still retain as much of that Toyota reliability.

And yes still on stock headers and cats, from my research and after talking with guys running big numbers the general consensus is that the factory Toyota manifolds are actually very well designed and don't need to be changed until you start running some big boost #'s.

Initially I was just about to pull the trigger on headers too but my exhaust is already LOUD! the videos don't do it justice and sound about half as loud.

I commented on this video on YouTube, how cool is it where you can see the AHC “squat down” as the speedo climbs.. very cool..

Great numbers too. My car is currently getting some custom exhaust work done, can you explain what you did to the exhaust, with some photos / videos of sound?

Basically I would love some further information on everything if you have time. What is a OTT tune?
Yes sir it never gets old does it haha.

So the exhaust is a DirtyDeeds full midsection without any mufflers aka muffler delete/ straight pipe.
I was the first guy to reach out to Keith @ DD and asked him to create this exhaust for me and by his recommendations since we lost the muffler a helmholtz resonator was used to eliminate nearly all drone and honestly it came out exactly how I wanted.

I don't have any videos of cold start/ cruising/ wot but I might go out and record some for you this weekend.

OTT (Overland Tailor Tuning) is a small independent shop here in the US that specializes in remote ECU tuning for most Toyota trucks using VFTuner OR HPTuner. No need to rent out a dyno and pay $$$ a tuner to tune your truck, contact OTT and they will remote tune your truck in real time! Also its really really affordable too!

Yeah that would be awwwwesone if you do some YouTube vids of a general walk around too. Show some exhaust image / footage, and some acceleration vids. I know that’s asking a lot, but would be great!

Thanks for the OTT info, I am in Aus, and was speaking to them about a remote tune but need my ECU ID which I can’t get without dealer helped just haven’t done it yet..

Thanks again

Is the tuning done by doing pulls and taking data logs from the car then sending them the files?

You don't need a dealership to pull your ecu calibration ID. Buy a cheap $50-$100 Diagnostic scanner from amazon and the ID # will pop up on it.

Yes correct, you will do a quick pull to datalog and send that to your remote tuner in real time, within 5 minutes they'll make adjustments to your tune file and send it back to you. Just reflash your ecu with the new tune file, again do another quick pull etc etc. until everyone's happy lol.

I have a Kiwi 3 OBD and Dash Command, would that show it? I couldn’t see it in there..

Can you send me a link for a Diagnostic Scanner you recommend?

i need to get out of this thread asap because it's making me want to do baddd things lol. Didn't realize you are in washington too! north end south end? fantastic job, truck looks and sounds amazing!

Reviving this older thread. Just finished installing a Magnuson 2650 on my 2020 LX 570. Install went great.

I have been taking it easy so far over the last 100 miles or so just to get a feel for it. This morning, I hit the throttle a little too hard in second gear, causing it to downshift to first and accelerating up past redline. The truck immediately went into limp mode and threw all sorts of codes. I “limped” home from just around the corner and cleared all of the codes. Truck is back to normal. I’m obviously very anxious now to make sure I’m good. I don’t intend to rag on this thing, but I also don’t wanna be driving around hesitant that the thing could downshift on me under the occasional hard acceleration and have this happen again.

Is what I experienced a lean out at the high-end on this stock Magnuson tune? Cut fuel? Is this reason enough to go with OTT?

you need an OTT tune.

Do these not have a OEM rev limiter? I’ve always assumed they did.

are you on stock injectors?
EDIT: I see you posted on another forum about being on new injectors. I am assuming the TRD green ones?

Personally I would get rid of the magnuson tune and get OTT or a custom tune from someone with experience on these platforms.
