If I remember tonight I'll try to post up some decent comparison pictures

Eli,

Well I'm a dillweed

I have pics of the 40 on the 35s but apparently I haven't taken any yet after dropping down to 33s

So, I got nuthin'

My advice FWIW is if you are concerned about strain on your drivetrain, axles, etc. and concerned about the rear tires hitting your purdy new tub, then drop down in size. Or see what you need to do bumpstop wise to keep the 35s away from the tub.

But, I'm not sure you'd be happy with the look of 33s on your rig. They look small on mine so I would have to guess they'll probably look even smaller on yours :D

Of course all this is moot if you determine your MTRs have enough tread left to survive Moab and meet the requirements....

yea Im not sure..my buddy has 33 MTR's that Im gonna throw on too see how they look and also to lift it up with a forklift to see how close they will come to the tub...

If I stay with my 35's I will need 8" custom bump stops:eek:

I really dont want to go down in size though....Im not worried about drivetrain strain and stuff because alot of that was made custom for the 35's...but the tub is too pretty to get banged up just because I like the stance with 35's

Bro, i have the same suspension lift and the same 35x12.5 mtrs. I waited a year to have my rig restored, the bodyman constantly complained about how hard it was for him to bend the quarters back into shape because there were no rear bumpstops so the mtrs would always push the sheetmetal out. 2 days after i got it back, i hit a curb going like 3 mph, and completely refxxxed up the rear right quarter. I had to get custom bumpstops as well, they are very long but they do their job, however almost no articulation.:frown: The stance of the 35s is awsome. IMHO, i would get some stock wheels and get a 35x10.5 tire, that would work and look great. I can post pics of the bumpstops if you want, just let me know. Good Luck!!

Just get out the sawzall Then you will have not problems at all fitting the 35"s. :hillbilly:

I am having the same delima even though my project is a long ways away from buying tires. I also thought about going with some 34" Swampers to split the difference.

It was..but apparently my painter is about as accurate with predicting dates as....I dont know but he is fickle. Im going out there at 9am tmrow to assemble the front clip...

As of now it is painted...fully..so in the morning...first thing I will do is pick up the windsheild frame...take it into town, and have the local glass place cut a piece of glass out for it...then take it back up and have my painter put it in...then assemble the front clip...and put the PS back together....Hopefully by then the bushings for my bilsteins will be in..so I can put the shocks in too..

Then I have to leave it so it can cure. Tuesday I will take it down to Pagosa to mount the bumper stinger...

Ill try to post some "teaser" shots tmrow night........... of it in its primerred stage.

But ya gotta wait for the live from CM to see the finished product

I dont know what to say......

.....

I LOVE MY PAINTER!!!!:grinpimp::grinpimp::cool::cool::cool::cool:
