Yeah it is a pretty cool little group of people.

Frank as usual if you need anything give me a shout!

BTW...You got more hair on the beard than the head??? It is freezing over here I think I am moving to the land of sun and cruisers!!

NOT!! Then I wouldn't be able to put wild motors in cruisers without the Republics OK.

yea...what's up with the weather over "there", you guys hanging out in your T-shirts. I don't think it made it to freezing here. Anyway looks like summit is taking its sweet time about my hoses & fittings. If I had that we could finish the front end and have the truck fully plumbed for coolant , oil, and p/s fluid.

We might have a little competition on who has a "driver" first :)

Nice, looks like fun! Good to see you making more progress again.

hahahahaha..

Me !! Im going with Elbert !!!

I know how I am:D:D:D

Thanks for the vote of confidence...
Harness is off to FIS and getting other stuff done as time permits....

Randy that Engine on Avatar has that superb clean look on it....Great job eh !!!

Mike, thanks brah...
How is that engine working out ??

Laters,

SHEEZ Frank,

I thouoght you would be pumped and ready to start driving!! Oh and thanks for the prop on the avatar. If you noticed I change them to the finished truck pic for each project.

So by next Monday you will be ready for smog ref? I know how long it takes for the harness so you get no sympathy there!!

Hey Randy....I'll do my best to get her going.
Regarding the programing and info on the engine/harness for F.I.S.
I really dont know much about these engines and I figure you know them as well as your local neighborhood, so I thought I ask.
I sent yah an e-mail.

Alright I'm still within that week dead line

I got my lokar boot and shifter today...midnight series....
Unlike others I got the 16" shifter and I think it will look stock.
I could of gone with a longer shifter but......... ah well.
I got the shifter with the LED indicator only to find out later on that the module will not work with a L460E as Randy and Lokar indicated. Im glad I did not get the module.
If any body has made it work for them, please let me know......:confused:

Does anybody know if a shifter cover from a FJ62 will fit my 04.'85 FJ60 ?
I think the Lokar boot is 5.25" wide by 7" long and the whole on the floor is 5.25"x5.25".

Im waiting for the harness from FIS and I will be running the electronic pedal (more mods).....:confused:

I pull the engine out and will install (or try to) the shifter base this week.
Looking at it, I'll have to pull the adapter out to clamp the rear of the base on the tranny....(I'll post pics to better describe it).

Randy, do you have a part number for the fitting that goes to the GM power steering pump? I got a kit from Downey but I dont think it will work... again I'll post pics to show what I got.

And re: the adapter I got from yah.....where does that thing go ?

I'll also have to relocate the brake lines and will run the front axle brake line through the frame from where it clamps to the frame rail to the rubber hose at the front.

I set out search for a rolling tool box and score a craftsman tool box that measures around 51" with plenty of drawers for less than that of a new 5 drawers box from Sears:)

I'll post some pics tomorrow...good night.....

About damn time!!!!!

:D

The adapter you have from me goes to the rear of the block where the oil sender is. Screw the GM sender in the top, Screw the whole thing in snug then mark where you need to drill the hole for your toyota sender. After that you will have oill press. What I do on my hose is take the yota hose and the GM hose to a shop tell em how long and there ya go. If you don't have the reservoir hose get it at a junk yard anything 01 and up will fit. Great progress and keep at it.

I picked up one of these but have not installed it yet. I got it so I could get a reverse signal (no switch on an Art Carr). The price on these has gone up quite a bit since I picked mine up but something like this might be what you're looking for.

Button other things up and will try to get the torque converter in.
This may be a piece of cake for most of yah, but I never done anything like this before.....so its a huge undertaking for me.....

Also, I never bother to size the, drive-by wire pedal before putting the order to the harness and now that I have Im seen how much fun this is going to be !!!!:flipoff2:
Live and learn Eh !!

Cheers,

Hey Frank don't worry so much it's only metal we can out think it! See you in the morning for some wrenching.

Dynosoar:zilla:
