I must say the frame of your 60 looks beautiful! Is that orig, or has work been done on it, if so can you elaborate?

Thanks,
Zack

He put POR 15 on it. However, it was way clean even before that. It was almost a shame to weld on it. ALMOST but not quite.

Yeah me too! I literally live within five minutes of Manu and I had the day off yesterday...for once.

I would have just stopped by to check it out cuz maybe one day I'd like to do this.

Good luck and hope it all goes well

Zack what Dynosar said..it was in good shape before just some surface rust (just like you see on the front axle) but when I started my swap I figure I put some IPOR primer and then gloss black spray paint.

I'll IPOR the new motor mounts and spray paint it later on...

I've been wondering as well, but word is that Frank is up to his neck in home repairs... He'll be back on this soon from what I hear...

Frank has been helping me tile my bathroom the last few weekends. I am going over there on Saturday to finish up his trans mount and finish up the other welding. If your not working Shane you should come out there with me. Once the mounts are all done he just need to wire and plumb it. He is not that far from being done Just a few parts to collect and a bunch of finish work.

Dynosoar:zilla:

I will be grouting the shower on Sunday!

you guys look like you are making some progress. I think I may be running in about a week or two. Still need exhaust and some other work, + waiting on more parts to show up.

Im going to practice my MAD welding skills this week and try to weld my WRX seats !!!

Hey Randy, thanks man..

Got a question for yah...
Philos1 and Dynosoar could not find the return fuel line on the engine...much less I.
Do you know if these engine have one.. could you if time permits post a pic of where it is, If it has one.
Also, I see you you use this fuel gage to keep preasure on the line at all times.. I dont know if I could use that here in CA or ??

I read your post on FIS having a sale......so, I'll make sure to send my stuff ASAP.

Laters !!!

I need tohave you guys PM me

and let me know when you're going to working on this!

I LIVE in the city Manu lives in...I'd love to at least come by and root you guys on. I've been slowly but surely making progress on my FJ60.

I'm doing the Intake/Exhaust Gasket/Carb/Cooling Hoses/Radiator job on it right now. It's been going for over a month as I haven't had a lot of time to work on it but luckily it's in my garage, away from the elements.

Good thing it's not my daily driver because I've found I've needed a lot of "flex" and "stubby" tools that I didn't have and am having to purchase as I go along.

Anyway, let me know guys!

JLH,
I got a few items from the 2F I did not sell.
You are more than welcome to come by and see if you might find something you want/need.
Also, I have had to purchase my own tools as I go along but you are welcome to use any of mine.

The fuel pressure regulator is for that reason. SOME Vortecs are returnless!! So you will need to use the GM F.pump, fuel pressure sensing switch etc. But if it were me I would run the fuel press regulator and see if the Ref says anything about it. I am getting ready to do a smog leagal 6.0 for a Ca. truck so I am having to pick apart every aspect as well. Also check the carb #'s as you put parts on some are not required to be carbed if they do not affect emissions of the vehicle.
