The gas pedal bracket's on it's way to you Frank. Post pics when you bolt it into the truck because I've got the same L59 engine and I'm following your footsteps...

Yes, I have a metal DBW pedal for my 5.3 conversion.

Doesn't that bracket bring the pedal off the floor considerably? I was already worried the pedal was going to be high relative to the original pedal.

Peter

yep no kidding. i need to hook it up before the trip to Moab!

the swap is looking good Manu!

Rover thanks !!
BTW them 35's are looking sweet....!!!

Peter any chance you can post a pic of your pedal with part number and what the connection plug looks like?

Thanks eh...

Randy, I'll take some pics of the wires for the tank set up. I dont think I need them but yah let me know.. eh..

Laters,

Moved the brake line a few inches back by cutting an "L" shape on the bracket and moving it back.. I'll bring the hard line in between the frame by drilling a hole through the frame.

Randy this are the wires that read connect to fuel tank sensor and connect to fuel tank pressure

This reads connect to Evap Cannister Vent Valve

If I dont need any of these connections do I need the ECM reprogrammed or can I leave it the way it is without connecting any of these wires??

Dylan I got the bracket and yes I sure makes the installation look like its going to be easIER to fit...

Thanks brahs.....

You can try the fuel leads without, but if I remember right the fuel pressure sensor and fuel pump are on that circuit. If it won't start when you are ready you will now why. The evap you will need.

Hey Dylan.
When you bought the TAC module did you also get the wire that comes with it.
I had Fuel Injections Specialities make me one but as you can see on the pics I posted the fittings are different.
After some e-mails with Jeff over at FIS, Im sending him the pedal so he can/could reference the connectors and determine what series connector the pedal takes.

Let me know, I rather give him the info than be mailing parts back and forth.

Oh by the way dont know if you got the bracket for the ECM but I bought one at the local dealership Part number is 15047570 .

Laters,
Frank
Frank,
I've got an extra bracket for that type of DBW gas pedal. I ordered two by mistake for my V8 conversion (which by the way, has been slower than molasses.) If you want it, let me know. Give me you address and I can send it to you. The metal bracket will give you some mounting points to screw the pedal into the truck. It's #4 in the picture.

Also, if you look at the lower picture, #10 is a TAC module that you will need if you don't already have it. It has 2 connections. Your gas pedal wire connects to it, and so does a wire from your engine. I think mine was about $35.

Dylan.
Do you have the harness part that goes from the TAC module to the pedal ??????
if you do please let me know... I need that part number....
Thanks,

Frank

Edit: FIS in Tx is having no luck on finding connector information for this pedal and are suggesting buying a 2005 pedal for $100

Randy, you rock dude...

I believe it is........ Thanks !!

What did Jeff say? Did he give you his PN#? Doesn't matter I have the picture you posted. If I can find you one what all do you need? Just the plug, the whole pedal, Etc. BTW my price would probably be a whole lot cheaper than yours. BTW I told you the pedal would be

Randy I dont have the PN#..... If you find the plug it would have to be for 2006. If you find the whole pedal it has to be the plug that FIS supplied.. yeah both are posted on this tread post 230 and 28...
Thanks brah...

Randy this is the PN# for the 2006 pedal.. If you could find the plug that would be great....

I saw you used TPS but they are not around this neck of the woods..eh !!
