Coming from Brazil you should be sure you can live with the snow and cold of CO in Winter.

I know, I love the snow and have been here in CA for 8 years already with many trips to snow areas! No, we have not "lived" in a snow area but we adapt very well.

just do it....you'll never look back!

I know you live in CO but where? The job Im going for is in Englewood and i know there are some neighborhoods you wanna stay way from and some other places that are nicer but not crazy expensive!

What can you tell me about that part of town that I should know?

I just experienced the local traffic and know for sure if I pick a house a bit too far I'll never make to work on time!

Thanks,
Paulo

Well, I got that job for sure and have to be in Englewood - Colorado by the 25th of June!

Just need to get rid of some accumulated junk, pack everything else, find ourselves a house to move into, quit my current job (which I'm more then happy to do!), load up and start the 1200 mile ride!

One wife, two kids, three vehicles and the big ass moving truck! That will be fun!

Just finished welding the end plates on both sides of my dash box!

This past monday was my last day at the shop before we head in our move to Colorado but before I got out of there I spent some time working on my box and welded in the ends in such way that resembles the original angle so it will clear the wing windows!

Still need to work on finishing the lids!

I extended the studs for the windshield frame and they will go through the box just like the oem, just need to put a sleeve inside and weld it.

Now it's time to get things ready for the move so anything that can be mounted to the vehicles will be!

Look forward to meet with some mud folks from around Denver area and cruise together!

I lived in Denver and wished I lived in Golden after visiting.

Post up in the Co clubhouse section and I bet you get the answeres you are looking for on the move.

At last an update! It has been 2 1/2 months since we made the move to Colorado!

The trip was awesome! Left CA on Thursday morning (June 21) and arrived in Denver on the Saturday (june 23) around 2:30 pm. Driving through Utah was something else! Some amazing view spot along the road and they made my trip take even longer than it should! I tried to stop as much as I could, rest, stretch out, take some pics, etc.

I was by myself the whole way driving the moving truck with the Cruiser behind it! My wife n mother in law had the kids with them in the van wile my father in law drove my truck! That was great from them to help out!

We arrived at the peak of the heat! 105!!!!! After leaving behind 68 degrees year round weather it was a bit tough at first!

I remember the last 100 miles of the trip going over the Rocky Mountains that truck could barely move anymore! It was packed up to the roof and hauling the tank behind it, I was going up about 13 miles on the steep grades! Kept wishing I would've gone with the diesel ones from budget instead of uhaul!

On the way down towards Denver I could smell the brakes on that thing about to give up on me! With only 20 min to go I started thinking I would not make it but I did!

Colorado is beautiful! Denver is an great place! It reminds me of my home place in Brazil! The way rivers cross town, the old buildings, the night life! We love it! It's great to be back living at a big city and not need to drive 4hrs to go see a music concert!

Our new jobs are great and things are working out really well!

As for the cruiser I have not done much to it other than drive around!

I also missed the cruiser get together in Lakewood (minutes from me), we went camping that weekend in Ester Park.

Will try to get some of the projects done soon!

Hope to meet with some of the cruiser heads from Denver area!

i realy like your work
nice work

Thanks! It just sucks I haven't been able to work on anything lately! I need to change the oil on this thing and haven't had a chance for weeks already! Busy life!

Alright! Finally was able to get away for a little bit today and give the 40 a much needed oil change! Sounds embarrassing but it's the reality! Gotta keep the priorities in order, so wife and kids come first.
Next on the list:
adjust the brakes
finish the dash box
finish the rear fender/flares
install the power steering conversion I have seating in a box for over a year buy new tires 'cause mine are shot (don't know what yet, have 31-10 1/2-15s now)
find myself a good deal on a 8274 winch
The list keeps going and going!!!

Today I got a bit of time on my dash box once again! Had to correct a design error! When I welded the center wall I tried to make a solid weld instead of just tacking it and of course I caused the metal to wave a bit so got the wall out and will just tack it in place!
Also working on the lids.

Couple pics of the tricky corner I came up with! To me the fun part of building your own stuff is figuring it out as you go! Specially when you are doing it at home and can't just run to work to use the fancy tools over there!
