Have been also slowly working on building the flares for the rear. I got a pair of beater front fenders and swapped L on R /R on L.

Thanks guys! Sarge, the one thing I don't like about the fiberglass flares out there (other then they are fiberglass) is that they have a lip or flange folded out and you screw or rivet it in place and those are visible on your fender.

I made a flange that folds in so the mounting bolts are tucked inside the flare so you only see them when you go looking for them! Much cleaner look!

HOLY CRAP!!!! in all the cruisers i've worked on, i NEVER thought of spliting a front fender for a rear flare. GREAT idea!!!!! carry on

Here are a couple pics of the first eyebrow tacked in place on the dash box.

Had a bit of time today to finish fitting then tack weld the eyebrow for the LH side above the gauge cluster. I'll try to finish welding both sides tomorrow and then focus on the ends of the box. Getting a little closer! Free time is a luxury these days!

Thinking of moving to Denver Colorado. Anybody out there care to leave an opinion about the area?

It's a little preppy but unless your from Montana Wyoming or Idaho it has to be better than where you are. Cheers, Larry

Come to NZ and be my neighbour :D

I'd be over the fence regularly to check up on your progress.

The "best of the best" in fab skills there!

You'll love CO. :bounce:

Nice to see your rear flares. I was thinking of doing the same thing, w/out the bolts and not as wide. I want to just weld them onto the body. Do you have any pics of them trimmed and finished?

Thanks guys but I was thinking more in terms of what areas are good for a family and what areas to avoid!

I got a possible job over there making double what I make now in CA! I need to gauge everything so I can make my decision: $$, safety, traffic, work environment and of course: the hassle of moving 1200 miles with 2 little kids, 3 vehicles and a big truck with all our junk!

I just spent 3 days over there and met with the shop and did a bit of work so they can have an idea of what I can do.

My projects are stalled right now! I got to figure this out first!

Thanks again

Coming from Brazil you should be sure you can live with the snow and cold of CO in Winter.
