Those are some sweet looking parts there mate. What did it cost you to get them blasted and power coated.

$600 for all the powder coat stuff. $380 to blast all the body parts, and $1500 to have a local body shop lay down an excellent quality epoxy primer.
 
Bare metal. Its essentially a plastic melted onto your substance, so it needs to be a clean bare surface to adhere.
 
The fit is looking great. I am really liking the finish also.
 
Looks great mate. Its almost there.

Painted mine just recently...
Complete aqualu tub, cowl fenders, grill...
Primed with this:

Home depot, nine bucks per can.


Then painted complete truck with this:

Not sure why I need flex on the hood, when everything else is bolted down rigid. I am going to powder coat them black, and they match the rear latch for the bumper. The ones you show are not a better looking alternative. Is rather go back to stock than those.

To each their own I guess!
 
If you plan to wheel the truck at all you will need to let the hood flex from the body or you will end up with metal fatigue and cracks. An easy enough habit is to simply unhook the hood latches when off-road in the rocks in order to allow the body to flex away from the hood
