Cant wait to see the final result. Its like waiting for xmas.

Got all the parts back and I hired a local auto body shop to apply a 2-part epoxy primer (in preparation for Line-x application). I bought a DIY Raptor Liner kit and some Toyota White (033) for color, to spray the roof this weekend. I put a new layer of fiberglass on the bottom, sprayed Zero rust all over the metal lip, and applied an epoxy primer over the whole carcass. Figure this will be good for another 30 years.

Bought a bucket of the pre made fiberglass stuff. Works great on the underside of the roof with all the radius.

I am going to lay down a bead of white paintable 3M marine sealant around the lip, than do the final spray coat.

I used a pre mix fiberglass mix, Zero Rust and epoxy primer on the metal, and Raptor DIY truck liner with Toyota White (033) pigment.

All available at your local Auto Body Repair Shop. I will take some pics of the product later this week.

It rained up here (the San Juan Islands) all day, glad you had good weather. Very nice work, looking forward to seeing it finished.

Zero Rust (Sprayed on all bare metal in hard to reach/paint areas that might be exposed after all applications)

Fiberglass Filler (filled up holes and layed down a fresh coat on the underside)

Two part epoxy primer (I sanded everything down prior, coated all parts)

Raptor Liner (Did my first coat)

Than applied a seam sealer: (than did second coat over that)

All in all I think it came out nice, and it should last another 30 years. :)

Are you worried about keeping dirt out of all of the ridges in the raptor liner? Seems like it would be a pain to keep clean. Thanks for the detail on the products. I'm hoping to tackle my roof this summer and will be referencing your thread.

I really like how the top turned out. I am going to have to remember that.

Those are some sweet looking parts there mate. What did it cost you to get them blasted and power coated.

X2 look awesome
