So, I finally got the damn spark plugs out. Pain in the ass. They were pretty black at the ends. I poured MMO down the cylinder holes and a little across the head. And I was able to break it free. Too much stuff is in the was for to go more than the one revolution that I achieved. But, the starter is still not spinning the motor. Even hot wired. I'll either try another starter or a starter solenoid.

It clearly says “unleash engine power” on the bottle. Let’s hope they are talking about your engine specifically and we can get a video of you ripping up the road sometime soon!

Lol. I’d settle for “allows motor to turn over and run”. 😝

Tried some more after dinner. Finally got the starter spinning but not engaging. After myself and my heaviest ratchet released some frustration onto the stubborn starter......

Any thoughts on the black/burned spark plugs...? Some had rusted threads; others didn’t...

Just read some articles. Oil fouled......

Ordering tune up kit, clutch master and slave, serpentine belt, and valve cover gasket in the am from JT Outfitters. Might get other stuff. Still drafting a list.

I was a little worried about a couple of these items. But, the guy tells me this ‘71 kit is good for my SEP 1970 F motor. Also, I decided to go with the master/slave kit as I’ve had good success with it. Again though, this guy is saying I need the 4sp kit because it has a longer braided line that will reach the opposite side where the slave resides.

I’m so stoked that the old gal came back to life after being in the woods for over a decade. However, she’s got a long way to go... I am a little worried about that abrupt stop at the end of the video. Guess I’ll clean the gas tank and change oil, fuel filter, flush/add coolant.... Want to take it slow and give this engine its best chance.
