Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Haha I did! I was wondering if you would connect the dots.
Thank you! A bit more than I wanted to spend but it seems like a rare find.

3 owner Nevada car, serviced at the Lexus dealership. Last owner barely drove it, putting only 500 miles a year on it for the past 8 years.

Figuring out logistics of transport now...Bit of a drive for me
Rust free, Nevada vehicle with solid maintenance and well under 150k miles- good buy!

Enjoy those 500 horses

What's the general consensus on the following at $57K?
*2019 LX570
*80K Miles
*Three rows
*Luxury Package
*No Mark Levinson System or Rear Seat DVD's

This one has been for sale for awhile, i wonder why it's not moving? Low miles low price no rust...what's the issue? Too bad i'm so far away or else i'd scooped it up

Trashed seats are not helping for one.

lol true but i'd rather have trashed seats than trashed frame. He's 24 hour drive from me, thought about flying there and driving it home but my back would be dying from that drive. Shipping got quoted for 1500 because of the class of vehicle it is.

The truck I am getting from Vegas is a 22 hour drive for me haha..
I am gonna have to do it over 3 days.

1500 is not bad! I got quoted 1300.

Thats true but there's this as well, If the seats are trashed, what else is?

Did he/she skimp on anything else?

Was it abused?

For it to move, it'd have to be a smoking deal. Which the market has determined it isnt.

Wait you had the winning bid?? Congrats @Sajan
hit a bump on this deal. i was set to go get the truck next week and drive it home.
i asked the seller to verify the tire date codes and they are 11 years old. I told him i don't feel safe driving that far on decade+ old tires.
He said maybe he can put two on but I have to pay for install and the other two...
I told him I am walking away if he can't make the car driveable home. I am even okay with 4 used tires. So he said fine, you can pass on the sale.

Not sure how this will play out because of BaT but at the very least I am out the fees...ugh.

Sounds to me like cold feet and an excuse to walk away from the deal.

On the other hand, it is an unusual car. If you really want it then old tires are kind of a trivial matter. I'm surprised the seller is offering to split the cost of a new set with you. Seems generous.

Cold feet, na. Flight booked. funds cleared.
Not blaming the seller either.
That said the tires being 11 years old, oil change last done 1.5 years ago...it just dawned on me that I might be inheriting a headache.
I had a PPI scheduled this morning. Seller didn't take the truck there. So that's that.
I ain't mad. Plenty of trucks out there. I don't care much about losing a few $s on BAT fees.

That makes no sense to me... you would rather pass on this and eat the ~$1,900 BAT fees rather than spend ~$1,200 on new tires? Oh, and BAT will absolutely ban you for life. Sounds like you are just looking for an excuse to get out of the deal.

At the end of the day we got to feel good about our purchases. I treat it like any other investments, better to cut my losses early than dig a bigger hole.
I didn't feel comfortable with the seller the more I talked to him. He is not shady or anything, he just didn't know much about his car. He basically had it stored at his relatives house for the past 8 years. For example he said the car had a TRD supercharger installed (previous owner) by Toyota corporate in cali/tuned there. What I found was was an aftermarket unichip instead. I pieced together the service history.
Date Miles Item
2/19/2023 100402 New Battery
12/19/2021 99894 New Battery
10/14/2020 99719 New Battery

Again, my fault for not doing enough due diligence. I only found the auction on the last day and based a lot of things on the BAT listing/comments.

As for BAT, never again. I will stick to what has worked for me which is to find owner/enthusiast listings without the middleman.

As far as I know, Harrop and TRD are the only superchargers made for the 5.7L engine. And it does look like a legit TRD supercharger. Maybe the guy really really doesn't know anything about it. Anyway, if it didn't feel right, then walking away is the smart thing to do. Good luck with your next purchase. I recommend you hang around here more as there are tons of very knowledgeable mudders that can help you make an informed decision on your next purchase.

If the seller didn't make an agreed upon PPI i would absolutely walk away. Does BAT allow for a contingent post sale PPI?

Yes, the SC was legit and was installed by a local Lexus dealership. Chip, aftermarket. I thought that was odd considering a TRD supercharger installed by a dealer should have had a Toyota tune on the ECU. not a piggyback aftermarket one. I talked to few guys who does tuning and this is what one of them said:

I typically discourage folks from going with piggyback controllers. Some of them do make small improvements, but most all of them over inflate their numbers and are "snake oil" so to speak. A proper ecu calibration will always be better than a piggyback, especially in a forced induction application.

Also btw, since I lost the trust in the seller, I also worried about the wrap and what the condition of the paint underneath was. Plus the wrap has been on there for 10 years..

Agreed about this site! I usually hangout on the porsche ones (rennlist/pelican) but glad to have found this one.
I will be on the lookout on classifieds here. Open to suggestions on another similar car. Open to LC or LX 200 series.
