I painted the trim around the rear seat and put truck bed liner on the rear seat back. I like how it turned out.

I believe on that last picture, he had to trim a little to make the gauges fit. I also believe they are 4" gauges.

Have you tried Slocruisers for the cargo rubber? SLOCRUISERS

Are you thinking on aftermarket ac/heat?

Slocruisers is out of the cargo rubber. He said he is doing something with a new manufacturer and doesn't know when he will get them back in. Did most of you guys buy the $2000 package from him for your rubber? I know it's not all inclusive and I'd have to buy other stuff as well.

I am going with the after market like you did. I've read your discussions on it but wasn't sure if you guys had come to a definitive answer as to what the best aftermarket system is.

I bought most of the package, but had a couple big pieces that came with my first wagon. On the ac/heater, I really don't have a good opinion yet, haven't used it much. It does work well, but the fan seems to be a tad noisy on high.

I'm trying to finish up my transfer case install and can't figure out thee advanced adapters shift bracket. My problem may be that I'm using the stud from my original transfer case instead of the split case I'm putting in, but it won't shift properly. It's jamming up and the bracket bends when I'm shifting. Have any of you guys had the same problem? If so how did you remedy it?

I'm out of town and wanted to buy all the door and cargo panels while gone but didn't know there was a difference in the height of the fuel filler cutout on the rear cargo panel. Can someone tell me which one came on the 1976?

I believe you have the short one. My 71 has the tall one, but we need to do some searching first.

EDIT.... Here's some good reading, maybe you have a tall one...FJ55 reproduction door panels

I'm thinking you should really measure first before ordering. Seems the information on what year is all over the place.

Thanks. That post was what I needed. I'll get someone back home to find the cover for me. After seeing it I think it's the tall.

I found a fuse in my fuse block. I unfortunately broke it pulling it out but thought it was cool. There was a piece of paper in the fuse that said 20A peace Japan. I'm sure you guys have seen this before but I haven't.

I got some more work done on the55 while home. I'm almost finished reinstalling the original wiring. Everything was in good shape and there was no butchery from the PO. I bought my gauges and modified the center dash for an edge cts and a new full sized radio. I had a guy 3-D print my dash for me and while I was at it I had him print my radiator mount. I painted my headliner bows and got all my axle pieces painted. When I get home I have a guy that'll weld the cut and turn on my axles do I can put them together.
I also cleaned up the dash knobs, repainted and clear coated them

I'm looking to install an auxiliary fuse panel with relays in the engine bay. I've found a few of them but was wondering what you guys were using.

I want to see more of what you are doing with the center panel!

What would you like to see?

Also I forgot to post my radiator mount

So you took an existing center panel and modified? I wasn't sure if you had someone print a new center panel for your mods, or modified...

I like the Land Cruiser script on there - did you do that?

I did use an existing one. It was the easiest way for me. I showed him the land cruiser script I wanted and had him print it. I wanted it a little bigger than the original.

Cut and turn
I did a cut and turn on my spring over axle. I read how to do it quite a few times before doing it, nad now I'm wondering if I did something wrong. I bought a 4x4 labs high steer kit and after the cut and turn it's hitting on the springs. I bought the Ruff Stuff 10* spring over kit and from the how to threads I added an extra 4* to the turn. Any suggestions or observations would be appreciated. I emailed Luke about it tonight and will try to call him tomorrow.
