Did a drum brake inspection on Montina. Rears look good and the springs were mounted properly. Front driver drum was sticking a bit so i used a few blows from a brass hammer and it loosened up and now spins freely. That fixed the pulling to the left that I thought was my alignment.

Pull those fronts off. Toss in a ditch. Kick rocks over them.
I must have been blessed by the brake gods on this one. The drums work great with no pull. Maybe one day I’ll do a conversion when I free up some funds. Ive still got to get my ‘79 up and running and ill do a comparison.

Montina has been running smooth lately with nothing major to report. Only issue lately is a hard warm start but with a few pumps of the gas she fires up. Interesting that she fires up without gas pedal when cold immediately strong.
All mechanicals are working properly so now I’m doing some rust mitigation and a bit of bling. Also switched back to the OG Bfg AT’s. Badges are via City Racer.
Used ospho, rustolium primer, Cruiser Corp dune beige rattle can. Still have to cut out and weld around body mounta but that will come at a later time. I just want to drive her.

Don’t suppose you could work a couple pics of your “cabin” into the thread?!

Asking for a friend. 🙄

Reclaimed heart pine barnwood floor, trim, beams. Southern pine tongue and groove ceiling. Reclaimed was from a tobacco barn on the property.

Apologies for bifurcating your thread. I got-a-thing for cabins..😎

Just remember they will rust in the bottom. While they are new you should apply zinc phosphate inside the containers. Do one then pour the left over into the second one. You must be sure the entire inside is coated. Then it won't rust.
Is that the same as Ospho?

Started on the Blue Plate Special ‘79 today. I pulled the gas tank and it was a total pain in the ass. I thought unplugging the hoses was bad until i tried to pull the tank. Tight spot between the rails and had to pull the rear end backwards to drop it. Much cursing and several blows from a flooring mallet later it came loose. Inside the tank is toasted. New replacement install starts tomorrow. Have to figure that out yet.
